Rotterdam Police looking for robbery suspect

Rotterdam Police are investigating an attempted robbery which happened at a Stewart’s Shop Saturday morning.

At 5:15 a.m., police say a female suspect entered the store at 1841 Helderberg Avenue, where she presented the clerk with a handwritten note demanding money, while implying she had a gun.

The clerk refused to open the cash drawer and told the suspect to leave the store.

Police say that’s when the suspect left the store without taking anything and was last seen on foot, heading toward Helderberg Avenue.

The suspect is described by police as a white female, approximately 5-foot-4 with a thin build, last seen wearing a dark blue zip up hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Rotterdam police say they've tracked down the woman who robbed the Stewart’s on Helderberg Avenue this past weekend. They arrested 30-year-old Jamie Enos of Schenectady.

Police say Enos was seen on surveillance video demanding cash and implying she had a gun. The clerk refused to hand over the cash and Enos ran away.

Police say several people identified Enos after surveillance photos were released to the public.

She’s charged with attempted robbery
