I visited some democratic sites concerning the Schenectady mayoral and council seats and wrote some comments and opinions and they were all deleted. There was no reason to delete them, nothing offensive etc,. That's the way it is in this democrat run city, hide behind closed doors and ignore the
taxpaying residents.

Even the so called "head" of the neighborhood association is slamming Vince Riggi for voting no on two items that Marion P also voted down, but of course they don't mention that.

You have two "groups" of people voting democratic, those connected with downtown and those who have non profits etc that feel the local, state and
federal government are supposed to finance all of their needs and wants.

Myself and my daughters family are the last left in Schenectady. Used to be my whole family including extended that lived in Schenectady. Well my
daughter and SIL are looking to get out, they have a really beautiful home but want to move elsewhere. I will be the last living here, if I hit the lottery I'm getting the hell out too.

We don't do those twitter and facebook and other sites, but we've heard that the city does delete a lot if it is questions or comments about truths of the city.  Also that neither the city, the mayor, or the council people respond.  And the best one we heard is that people have posted more challenging questions or comments and then the mayor or the city, or the council members somehow do something to prevent those people from being able to comment at all.

But what we hear is the one and only true representative of the taxpayers, council member Vince Riggi, that he is always faithfully responsive, always answers questions, etc.  That is what an elected leader has an obligation to do for his/her constituents.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
