Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
This did not happen. Every DEM mailer says that crime is down in the City. Forget about the FBI warnings about an explosion in violent crime in the City. Mayor McCheese has no clue on solving anything. All he ever does is take orders and pretend all is well. With his steady hand on the taxman. Right Gazetto? This is also known as progress in moron DEM circles. McCheese so clueless that he voted AGAINST the City getting its fair share of County sales tax revenues. Raise property taxes again-only a few peeps will say anything.

proof? I see nothing in local media concerning a stabbing since the yates village stabbing in Sept.
We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics. Funny how that works.
Maybe this from 3 days ago? Just took MC1 trolls a few days to realize they could post it as a jab at DVOR! They could care less about the crime or those stabbed...just see opportunity to bash DVOR every way they can!

Updated: Saturday, October 17 2015, 11:25 PM EDT SCHENECTADY -- The Schenectady Police Department is investigating a double stabbing that left two people injured early Saturday morning.
The incident took place outside 939 Crane St., the El Dorado Bar, at about 1:33 a.m. Preliminary investigation revealed that the first victim had been struck in the head by an unknown person with a beer bottle, and then attached by an unknown group of four or five people. During this attack, the victim was stabbed multiple times in the lower back and legs.
The second victim was stabbed in the back while trying to intervene and help the first victim.
The two victims were able to escape to separate areas and contact police. They were treated at the scene and transported to Ellis Hospital for treatment, with non-life-threatening injuries. The victims' identities are not being release at this time, and they are not cooperating with police.
No arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident.
We are at the scene this morning and will update as we learn more

If you don't know about it, probably a lot of other people don't know either. And that's why they think Schenectady is improving. Because fancy new buildings downtown mean the city is improving. People don't realize that they paid lots to build or renovate those buildings and that they are paying a large percent of the property and school tax bills on downtown.

Two stabbed in Schenectady outside El Dorado Bar

SCHENECTADY — Schenectady police are investigating a double stabbing outside the El Dorado Bar at 939 Crane St. around 1:33 a.m. Saturday.
A preliminary investigation has determined the first victim was struck in the head by an unknown individual with a beer bottle, and was then attacked by an unknown group of four of five people. During this attack, that victim was stabbed multiple times in the lower back and legs, police said in a news release.
The second victim, seeing the attack, attempted to intervene on behalf of the first victim, and was also stabbed in the back, police said.
The two victims were able to flee to separate areas and contact police.
The victims were treated on scene and transported to Ellis Hospital. Their injuries are not considered life threatening. The victim's identities are not being released at this time and they are not cooperating with police, according to authorities.
No arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing.
