Don't believe it's about an investigation anymore.   That part has probably been established.   Likely it's now more about how the City is going to deal with the legal logistics of the various lawsuits.   Getting the "ducks in a row" as it were.

What invstigation is evryone talking about ?

Are yu talking about the investigation to find out who is responable for what exactly ?
There should be an investigation going on with lawyers for tenants that that are looking to get  more than rent money by finding the building owners liable .

There is an investigation by the lawyer s representing the owners of the building- looking to defend their client saying the tenants were responsable because they started the fire and then acted like the 3 stooges at a chinese firedrill
Then there is probably an investigation by the lawyers for the insurance company - if there is an insurance company.

then all these people will try and blame the city- in the meantime  i think the lawyers investigating

The problem lies with the fact that the city is stonewalling the release of the building inspection that was taken like a day or whatever before the fire started.

It's pretty apparent that this building was not up to code, since there were reports of stuck doors and the fire suppression sprinklers not working. If it is found that the city did indeed pass the building as being up to code, then it would open up the city to not only civil litigation, but a possible criminal investigation as well.
