Six months ago, the fire on Jay St.  Determined to have started by that candle or cigarette, whatever and that guy trying to get the chair out.

Six months later, the mayor STILL won't divulge the code inspection report occurring only hours earlier.

I overheard a woman at a diner about two weeks ago saying she was waiting for the city to pay the rent of one of the displaced tenants from the fire?
Has the city taken responsibility for the fire?

Most of the tenants still haven't been paid back from the landlord for their paid rent and deposits.  It's been a real hardship for some of them who weren't on section 8

Probably a good assumption that any info won't be forthcoming until after the election.

Don't believe it's about an investigation anymore.   That part has probably been established.   Likely it's now more about how the City is going to deal with the legal logistics of the various lawsuits.   Getting the "ducks in a row" as it were.

it's about 'who's watching the house'......It's not about walking around in a suit and spitting out fluff and stuff to tickle the ears

I seriously doubt there is an investigation really taking place.  The stuff was probably taken by the mayor out of city hall to the DA's office and put under lock and key and has never had one fingertip touch it since that time.  And the safe will not be open until after the election, for sure.

If Hull wins, then McThief will probably release it just so expenses to the taxpayers will be on Hull's clock.

I had the same idea. The "under investigation" is not flying anymore. There has been plenty of time to investigate at this point. It's a hiding game now.
