New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says Linda Masse, 44, used the prescriptions with the forged signature of her employer to get more than 2,000 narcotics. Masse was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Women's Health Care Associates in Latham. Officials say it was during her employment at that clinic that Masse filled 18 prescriptions for Hydrocodone and Oxycodone at local pharmacies. They say she used Medicaid to pay for the prescriptions, as her employer was a Medicaid provider. Masse has been charged with 18 counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument. She faces up to 7 years in prison if convicted. |
