Kids?  HUH!
You'd think a nation as great as ours can find a way to keep guns out of the hands of KIDS!

Yes...follow the model that keeps drugs and alcohol out of kids hands.  It works great!  Prohibition works great.

Unfortunately based on obamacare, childhood has been extended to 26 years old.  So in one sense Bumble is correct.  I'm going to stick with 18 years old as the maximum age childhood is recognized.

On to the list of mass shooters and the stark link to psychotropic drugs.

Eric Harris age 17 (first on Zoloft then Luvox) and Dylan Klebold aged 18 (Columbine school shooting in Littleton, Colorado), killed 12 students and 1 teacher, and wounded 23 others, before killing themselves. Klebold’s medical records have never been made available to the public.

Kevin Rider, age 14, was withdrawing from Prozac when he died from a gunshot wound to his head. Initially it was ruled a suicide, but two years later, the investigation into his death was opened as a possible homicide. The prime suspect, also age 14, had been taking Zoloft and other SSRI antidepressants.
Alex Kim, age 13, hung himself shortly after his Lexapro prescription had been doubled.
Diane Routhier was prescribed Welbutrin for gallstone problems. Six days later, after suffering many adverse effects of the drug, she shot herself.

What drugs was Jacob Tyler Roberts on, age 22, killed 2 injured 1, Clackamas Or

What drugs was Adam Peter Lanza on, age 20, Killed 26 and wounded 2 in Newtown Ct
Those focusing on further firearms bans or magazine restrictions are clearly focusing on the wrong issue and asking the wrong questions, either as a deliberate attempt to hide these links, or out of complete and utter ignorance.

Don’t let them! Force our elected “representatives” and the media to cast a harsh spotlight on this issue. Don’t stop hounding them until they do.

Do a little work of your own for once.  Google Suboxone, Dylann Roof.  You will find plenty of articles from different sources.  Give it a try Joey....it's not that difficult.

Are you Bumble???  STFU if you just want to be a jackass.  There are no reports of him on the drug at the time of the shooting.
He had the drug on him in FEB.  He's a known pill popper. But again...have not heard/read that a tox screen indicates he was
on anything at time of shooting.  Even if he was...THIS WAS A RACIALLY MOTIVATED HATE CRIME...so Sissy, again, STFU JACKASS!

PS - I Googled "JACKASS" and it gave me your picture!

So... did these killers shoot their victims while on these drugs??? OR Did these shooters
kill their victims because they stopped taking these prescribed drugs?

Anti-intellectualism Is Killing America

Quoted Text

The tragedy in Charleston last week will no doubt lead to more discussion of several important
and recurring issues in American culture—particularly racism and gun violence—but these
dialogues are unlikely to bear much fruit until the nation undertakes a serious self-examination.
Decrying racism and gun violence is fine, but for too long America’s social dysfunction has
continued to intensify as the nation has ignored a key underlying pathology: anti-intellectualism.

America is killing itself through its embrace and exaltation of ignorance, and the evidence is all
around us. Dylann Roof, the Charleston shooter who used race as a basis for hate and mass
murder, is just the latest horrific example. Many will correctly blame Roof's actions on America's
culture of racism and gun violence, but it's time to realize that such phenomena are directly
tied to the nation's culture of ignorance.

In a country where a sitting congressman told a crowd that evolution and the Big Bang are
“lies straight from the pit of hell,” (link is external) where the chairman of a Senate environmental
panel brought a snowball into the chamber as evidence that climate change is
a hoax, where almost one in three citizens can’t name the vice president, it is
beyond dispute that critical thinking has been abandoned as a cultural value. Our failure as a
society to connect the dots, to see that such anti-intellectualism comes with a huge price, could
eventually be our downfall.

National Dialogue Dusted Off
NEWS IN BRIEF
June 18, 2015
Vol 51 Issue 24    News · Guns · Violence

WASHINGTON—Following news of a racially motivated shooting massacre in South Carolina that left nine churchgoers dead Wednesday night, the country figured it was once again time to dust off the national dialogue, sources confirmed. “After yesterday’s tragic shooting in Charleston, we felt it was probably time to pull this old thing off the shelf, blow away some of the dust that’s collected on it, and crack it open,” said Mark Fulton, 43, of Reading, PA, referring to the decades-old discourse regarding the kind of free, safe, and respectful society that we as Americans want to live in, which the nation pulls out a dozen or so times a year in the immediate aftermath of unconscionable violence. “Obviously, we won’t be focusing on the parts about police brutality that we’ve used the last few times, but the other sections about racial tolerance, mental health, and gun control are pretty much good to go. It’s definitely a little worn-out from all the use, but we’ll be careful to return the conversation to storage for safekeeping once we’re done with it in about a week or so.” Sources nationwide added that meaningful change would stay untouched on the shelf and would likely remain there unopened indefinitely.

there are more than enough 'labels' out there that would certainly fit anyone's personal or political agenda.
the fact of the matter is.....until man changes his/her heart.....this will stay the way it has been since the beginning of time.
and there is no legislation that can remotely change that.......and that is a fact
the Romans had their own means of force/killing as did their citizens.
......it's been this way FOREVER...ya just didn't have the LAME STREAM MEDIA, and 24hr tv to broadcast it.

Awesome!! Sometimes I think I'm the only one here who "gets it". What's even more disturbing to me is how people use tragedies like this to promote an agenda, instead of looking for the root cause of humans inhumanity towards their fellow humans.

Anti-intellectualism Is Killing America

https://www.psychologytoday.co.....m-is-killing-america

Post published by David Niose on Jun 20, 2015

Quoted Text
David Niose (born August 20, 1962) is an attorney, author, and activist who has served as president of two Washington-based national organizations, the American Humanist Association and the Secular Coalition for America. In these positions he has initiated and pursued various advocacy efforts—legal, political, and public communications—on behalf of secularism. The American Humanist Association promotes humanism and defends the rights of humanists and other non-theistic Americans, and the Secular Coalition for America is a lobbying and advocacy group for non-theistic Americans

Niose joined the American Humanist Association board of directors in 2005. He served two terms as president of the AHA, before becoming president of the Secular Coalition. In January 2014 he left the presidency of the Secular Coalition for America to become legal director of the American Humanist Association.[8]

Upon joining the AHA board in 2005, Niose helped develop and launch a national advertising campaign promoting humanism in 2005, one of the first national ad campaigns by a secular group in America. The campaign included a series of full-page ads in several national magazines. As AHA president Niose oversaw several more major advertising campaigns which have included national television, radio, billboards, and public transit. These efforts have since been replicated by other secular groups.  In late 2011 the AHA launched a $200,000 holiday billboard campaign, placing advertisements in 7 different cities, which included a billboard reading "Yes, Virginia, there is no god.".

Niose is the author of Nonbeliever Nation: The Rise of Secular Americans, released in 2012 by Palgrave Macmillan.  His next book, Fighting Back the Right: Reclaiming America from the Attack on Reason, was released in 2014. Since 2011, Niose has written a blog on humanist and secular issues for Psychology Today
