by train, still seems unreal. Many wished me well on the "vacation" but it was anything but. Realized when we got off the train at Penn Station and we were in front of the line and my Dad coud'n't understand why we had to go up the escalator. He got almost halfway up. lost his balance and somehow I held him and screamed for help, they stopped the escalator and a man helped me get his footing, another got his dropped bags. Without going into detail the majority of the trip was a BIG mistake. I thought I could do this for my Dad but it was too much for him and ended up way too much for me. I've been home a week and still recuperating. Alzhiemers is a HORRIBLE disease. Anyways heres a pic of my Dad (he's on the left) with my Aunt and Uncle who saw us off on the train to come back to NY. |
