I'm sorry that this fact upsets you, but people deserve to understand what military service in America represents. I find no honor in traveling to far away lands to destroy a society that was never a threat to the U.S. or its citizens.

First - you've yet to point out the "lies" I'm accused of. Second, I have zero control over the thread. I state my opinions and point of view. I do not prevent anybody from replying in disagreement or not replying at all.

If pointing out that soldiers get paid to kill is cyber bullying, the definition of cyber bullying is separate for a thin skinned marines online persona than it is for everybody else. I had employer provided health care, and if you consider my wages, the price of food and lodging were deducted from my pay. LOL @ LEACH on the system! You really have no idea! Did Randy Paul serve his country??? Did his wacko dad??? Of course they did. They each served in the US Congress. They had PAID HEALTH CARE, a paid for office, office supplies, secretary and staff, etc. They were paid for their 'business trips' etc etc etc. You know... the subject of this thread, Randy Paul, how did you put it?

Well box, there are books that aren't comic books that describe war for an authoritative position. One of those books for instance is called 'War is a Racket'(maybe you've heard of it, it was written by a marine corpse Major General).
But what I can't let you get away with, is continually asserting the notion that soldiers are not compensated. As if compensation and benefits like the ROTC program are not reasons people choose to join. You may have had other options in your life, where you could have chosen not to join the military and have worked in the civilian world and earned a living. But there are people that did not have many options, and the military option was better than working the McDonalds drive-thru. For many, the military is the best option of a few. The rich don't send their kids to serve, but they certainly profit off of the poor who do serve.
I don't serve a country. I serve other people. I serve my neighbor. And service certainly doesn't mean sticking the barrel of a gun in somebody's ribs and forcing them to live the way I think is best. I leave that style of service to you maniacs.

It wasn't making any accusation. You've proudly announced your service and veteran status. If you were a conscientious objector during your time in the military, then all you have to do is state that. I wouldn't know any different. Maybe you joined as a medic and refused to take somebody else's life. But from the war porn article about the greatest sniper in Vietnam(Carlos Hathcock), I can only make the assumption you are box weren't too keen on the idea of conscientious objectors.
