Our condolences go out to the families of Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos who were assassinated in the line of duty today in New York City. This is a great national tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased and with all law enforcement officers and their families. We salute all members of the Thin Blue Line which valiantly protects all the members of our society from the criminal element. |

And now the war escalates.
Just yesterday the police union head told all the cops to sign a document stating the mayor is not allowed to attend their funerals.
Because he wants them to stop killing innocent people.
Killing the innocent is always wrong, inflicting pain and suffering on the families and friends.
So now, do the cops go on a rampage, or do they look for ways to make peace.
Some people believe that police lives are somehow more valuable than the lives of police victims.
Innocent lives are innocent lives.
Only one side is allowed by law to take lives.

Where's the outrage? Has a pound of flesh been taken? Where are all the angry protests, riots and looting?

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and Tarpon Springs Police Department are investigating a shooting that claimed the life of an officer.
Details into the shooting are not yet readily available, but the sheriff’s office confirmed an officer has been killed. The incident took place around 3 a.m. Sunday on Grand Boulevard in Tarpon Springs.
The officer whose identity has not yet been released worked for the Tarpon Springs Police Department.
The suspected shooter is in custody.
The shooting comes one day after two New York City Police officers were shot and killed by a man police say was angered over the police-involved deaths of Eric Garner in New York and Michael Brown in Missouri

Some people believe that police lives are somehow LESS valuable than the lives of other Americans.
the NYS Safe Act already legislates and codifies that police lives are MORE valuable than the lives of other Americans. The NYS Government places values on American lives based on occupation. Some people actually believe all life is valued equally. From the fetus, to the cop, to the drug dealer, to the elderly. Despite the life's age, race, religion, or occupation. The U.S. Government writes laws and places values on lives. Some worth more than other. |

The two police officers that were assassinated in New York City were a) both minorities and b) victims of a hate crime. The nation waits in stunned disbelief for our president to take action rather than jet off to Hawaii for another one of his multitudinous vacations. Where is the indignation from Obama, Eric Holder, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson? One would have to conclude that their silence indicates that for them - minority lives are less valuable once they put on a police uniform. |

ANY life taken is a heartbreaking tragedy. And it doesn't matter what race, religion, culture, sex, age...blah blah blah! That should be a given.
HOWEVER....cops have been crossing the line for the last few years. There are video's all over the internet proving that point. Cops have assaulted blacks, white, male, female, old, young and yes...even animals. And their reason....'this is how i was trained'. If that is true...then cops should rise up against their 'trainers'.
This is just the tip of the iceberg! There might be an all out assault on cops OR cops just may join the ranks of the citizens and rise up against their 'rulers'. time will tell. imho |

Yah, and there's lotsa stories like this one, but they don't get the press and youtube exposure...not interesting enough becuz it's "good" news, not why people read in the paper or see on TV:

An appreciative thumbs up to Manchester police Officer Brian Hagan, who took a burglary suspect who charged at him into custody without shooting or otherwise injuring the man. Officer Hagan responded to a call that someone was breaking into a package store. He went with his gun drawn. The suspect charged at him, swinging a full liquor bottle. Officer Hagan holstered the weapon, dodged the blow, chased the man down and, with other officers, took him into custody. That's poise under pressure — and darned good police work. Let's hope the suspect, James Trinks, appreciates how else it might have come out. http://www.courant.com/opinion/editorials/hc-ed-good-cop-eagle-shooter-thumbs-20141219-story.html

then perhaps the 'good cops' should break thru the blue wall of silence and start 'whistle blowing' these militant out of control cops!!
schenectady is just ONE example of cops dealing/using drugs (coke)...the department knew it.....nothing but coverup and silence. It happens EVERYWHERE!! |

Every home with a Christmas tree should decorate with blue lights this year in memory of these assassinated police officers and to show solidarity with all law enforcement officials. |

Yes, to represent the Roman soldiers that crucified Jesus. Like foreshadowing Easter. They were just carrying out their job duties. THE LAW. |
