Not discussing in public?  Of course I discuss it in public.  You think I only have these conversations in cyberspace?  watch the news, look at ferguson, look at NYC.  People are just now beginning to see the violent nature of the police.  This isn't just a phenomenon in inner city or for African Americans. And people are not waiting for the next election to resolve it.  Minds are changing.  The violent nature of the state is now being realized, and it didn't happen because of a vote.

I'll continue to whine, and you can continue to be a state apologist and suggest people leave if they don't like it, or vote for a different criminal political party.  We'll see whose approach is more effective.

interrogation techniques, American Civil Liberties Union Director Anthony
Romero called on President Barack Obama to pardon George W. Bush and
Bush administration officials for their hand in allowing those techniques.
Romero argued that a pardon would establish precedent—torture is a crime
that requires a pardon. Without that acknowledgment, he said, there is
little legal pressure preventing techniques like those outlined in the Senate
report from being used again.

Sen. Mark Udall (D-Colo.) on Thursday called on President Obama to “purge” his administration
of the CIA officials who were involved in the "enhanced interrogation" program detailed in a new
Senate report.

“It’s bad enough to not prosecute these officials but to reward and promote them is incomprehensible,”
Udall said on the Senate floor Wednesday. “The president needs to purge his administration.”

Udall reiterated his call for the resignation of CIA director John Brennan, saying he should no longer
lead the agency because officials hacked into the Intelligence Committee’s computers during their
investigation and deleted a file.

While democratic presidents Roosevelt and Truman were in office, we:
Used flamethrowers to dispense of Japanese personnel
Systematically bombed cities, where NO military targets existed
Dropped Atomic bombs on two Japanese cities, with no Military targets

Experiencing any of those events above is tantamount to torture..
It's all based on your perspective...
Neither party has clean hands....

John McCain is a Republican, and opposed to torture of prisoners.  Does he need to
