Rotterdam cops seek would-be burglars near Altamont Ave.

ROTTERDAM — Rotterdam police are seeking help from the public to locate two men who tried to break into an occupied residence early Tuesday.
At about 3 a.m. near Altamont Avenue, two occupants were awakened by voices outside their bedroom window, police said.
When they checked, they saw two men, both about 6 feet in height, wearing all dark clothing, walking across their driveway. They then heard noises coming from the back of the house and found a man trying to get in through a kitchen window, police said. The man fled when confronted by the occupants.
Police responded, but were unable to locate either man.
While checking the neighborhood, police discovered someone had tried to enter two other homes. In one, a basement screen was removed and in the other a window was open, police said.
It does not appear the suspects were able to get into either home and nothing was missing, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 355-7397.

I just added that it's too embarrassing to comment when you are proven wrong. And rather than admitting being wrong, there might likely be a fairy tale excuse for not posting when all the news is really bad. Otherwise, I couldn't care who visits whom.
