I am discussing the issue...you and your intent on how you handled/would handle the situation.
Issue is not only dog catcher, but also YOU and your intent.
I stated facts about what you planned to do, so don't try to put the blame on me because you
wanted to act like a jerk because people couldn't/wouldn't do their job.  Any responsible
animal lover would find a solution, not do what you said you would. You can't even man
up and own your mistake, you just try to off load it.

Putting the dog across the street put the decision to leave it there on the animal control officer, where it belongs.

I attempted to get the dog back to the rightful owner by calling the proper authority.

I could have simply pepper sprayed the dog and the problem would have vanished for me, but the dog would suffer and still possibly not get home.

If calling animal control and expecting them to do their job, when your home is being harassed, is a hate crime, then you are correct.

I used the appropriate amount of force on both the dog and the dog catcher.

The dog was restrained from attacking my home and my dogs, and the animal control officer was shamed into doing her job with her attitude against Rotterdam.

Only you would consider someone fending off a dog attack as a hate crime.
