Yes you do miss alot! "Today's AAA National Average, $2.324"http://www.fuelgaugereport.com/
How did obama bring gas prices down again? I must have missed the policy he implemented. Is the Federal Government subsidizing shale oil companies? Is shale oil getting extracted from federal lands? |

Of course Obama didn't bring gas prices DOWN, he only gets credit for pushing gas prices UP. (Kinda like the unemployment rate... he gets no credit when it drops, but all the blame when it rises.) I remember reading on this board that Obama will never get reelected with unemployment above 6% or gas prices at the 2011 rate. |

According to the latest CNN/ORC Poll, “Improving views of the economy have helped hike President Barack Obama’s approval rating to a 20-month high…More Americans still disapprove of the job Obama is doing as President. But at 48%, Obama’s approval rating is at its highest point in CNN polling since May 2013. The gains were driven by new found backing among women, independents and millennials — groups where Obama’s approval numbers jumped 10 percentage points from a month ago.”
There are two developments that fueling Obama’s approval ratings. Gas prices are on a record decline. According to AAA, “The steady decline in gas prices this autumn is now longer than any period AAA has previously tracked. The national average price of gas has declined for 88 days in a row, which is the longest consecutive streak on record. Gas prices have fallen every day since September 25 to today’s average of $2.39, which is the lowest average price per gallon since May 2009.”
The other factor is that the economy has experienced its best quarter of growth since 2003. Sprinkle in two popular presidential executive actions on immigration and Cuba, and you have a recipe for a jump in President Obama’s job approval ratings. |

there are a whole bunch of 'underemployed' folks who will have to purchase 'affordable' healthcare or risk being fined by the government...
that's what we now call the AMERICAN FU(KING DREAM.....
we may now go ahead and eat cake.....
being employed does not equate to a standard one is used to having to be forced to purchase health insurance or be fined to participate does not equate to it being affordable under one's standard
you see....just because certain words are used to describe something doesn't make it true.....
it's not Obama's policies because to have a policy from the government it takes years to come into effect, not unlike the old man trying to take a pi$$ when he has an enlarged prostate....... |

No silly...when Wall St makes record profits, and the Dow is at record highs under Dems, it's a great economy because of Dem policies. When it happens under repubs, it's "trickle down" economics that only makes the rich more rich. Though the Dems are more guilty of "trickle down" economics under Obama, with the top 1% is in possession of more wealth than ever in modern American history, you never hear them accusing themselves of it. They actually cheer the wealth gap spreading. Oh...And it's Repubs that push gas prices up. Remember under Bush? The prices were high so his oil buddies could net higher profits. But when they were just as high under obama, nobody accused him of being in the tank for big oil. Box...It's all a sham. That's why voter turnout is dropping. The Internet archives the words of these phony politicians. Now it is easy to see the two party oligarchy putting on the charade. |

A report about a large increase in US crude supplies has pushed oil prices down in the global market.
American oil, West Texas Intermediate, for February delivery decreased by USD 1.28 to USD 55.84 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange during Wednesday trading.
Brent oil, the European benchmark, also dropped USD 1.70 to USD 59.99 a barrel in London.
Wednesday's plunges came following the release of a US Department of Energy inventory report that showed oil stocks grew by 7.3 million barrels.
"The inventory report this week seems to have reawakened the market's fears of tepid fuel demand and excess supply," said Gene McGillian, broker and analyst at Tradition Energy.
"In the US, we have a lot of oil around, and I don't really see any evidence that this crater in prices has boosted demand significantly yet," he said.
Oil prices have plunged about 50 percent since June on mounting supplies by certain countries such as Saudi Arabia and lackluster global economic growth.
On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia said that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will not cut oil production even if the price falls to USD 20 a barrel.
"Whether it goes down to $20 a barrel, $40, $50, $60, it is irrelevant," Oil Minister Ali al-Naimi told weekly magazine the Middle East Economic Survey (MEES).
The minister defended a decision made last month by OPEC, whose lead producer is Saudi Arabia, to continue a daily production cap of 30 million barrels. |

oil is traded on the USD......the less it's worth the less the USD is worth....sounds like Russia.....but they will just print more and we will follow along like good sheople....
will this turn into a 'not enough straw for the bricks' or will it be the time for VIRTUAL CURRENCY control by the world bank?
either way be prepared to barter, it's gonna be a rocky road |
