Quoted Text
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – An anti-violence activist caught carrying a firearm into an elementary school in February has been given a conditional discharge.

A judge says if Dwayne Ferguson completes 100 hours of community service and stays out of trouble, he will not face more serious charges possessing a firearm on schools grounds.

I know you would have done the right thing, Boxy.

Sounds like a reasonable punishment under the circumstances.  I'm glad that he didn't just have the
charges dropped.  Conversely... an angry armed father pushing his way into a school over a custody
dispute (even if he is Pro Safe ACT) should be sentenced more severely.  Don't you agree?

If people voted on issues that their representatives presented for them, the country would be a completely different place, because corporations can't vote,

yet.

Box uses voting to inflict government force upon others.

Libertarians vote to lessen the governments use of force.

Voting is the use of force against the government's use of force.

No. I do not agree

Your comparison (as usual) is completely off base. An 'angry armed father pushing his way into a school over a custody dispute' is a ludicrous comparison . I'm not saying that it hasn't happened ( I didn't bother to search because it's irrelevant to this instance ), but needless to say there would be a multitude of other charges levied against an individual such as this.

If anything Boxy, you should be strongly protesting this sentence...Outraged even.

You tout the SAFE Act as 'responsible gun laws'. You walk on the bodies of those children from Sandy Hook, post after post after post, hoisting high the banner of the dangers of firearms and mass school shootings.

You fukin' preach about 'responsible gun owners' like yourself, yet here we have the exact opposite.

Let us start with this: Dwayne "forgot" that he had a gun on him. What  'responsible gun owner' ( like yourself, Boxy ) forgets that he has a gun on them? Doesn't that make him just as dangerous, if not even more dangerous, as the 'angry armed father pushing his way into a school over a custody dispute'?

Let's not forget that Dwayne is a big face on the SAFE Act and, as a leader, should be held to a much higher standard.

You're also stupid for trying to argue 'intent' as a defense. Law  does not discriminate between if some politically connected gun control activist who "forgot" or  "angry armed father pushing his way into a school".

Bucky decides how I should react, then rants when I don't do as he directed.  LMAO!

You fukin' preach about 'responsible gun owners' like yourself, yet here we have the exact opposite.
I don't think that I've ever classified myself as a "responsible gun owner".  I have posted many stories
where those who consider themselves "responsible gun owners" end up shooting others, their kids,
or themselves.

Of COURSE NOT!  One irresponsible GunHugger enters the school with for legitimate reasons and forgot he
was armed.  Against the law but a danger to no one.
The Custody Dispute father enters the school irate, armed and looking for justice!  A danger to all present.
BTW, schools practice for Irate Parents in Custody Disputes in schools and have as far back as the late 80's
that I know about.

Let's not forget that Dwayne is a big face on the SAFE Act and, as a leader, should be held to a much higher standard.

My post had nothing to do with his defense, but it did apply to sentencing which DOES consider intent.

It seems Cicero opposes women voting.
