Yup. Confirmed. Andrew Cuomo is one corrupt bastard
Once upon a time, Working Families Party Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York promised to clean up his state's endemic corruption.
Mr. Cuomo said early on that the commission would be “totally independent” and free to pursue wrongdoing anywhere in state government, including in his own office. “Anything they want to look at, they can look at — me, the lieutenant governor, the attorney general, the comptroller, any senator, any assemblyman,” he said last August.
But it's been confirmed that yup, that was all bullshit, since Cuomo killed the commission once it started subpoena'ing the governor's friends and allies.
"A commission appointed by and staffed by the executive cannot investigate the executive,” the statement said. “It is a pure conflict of interest and would not pass the laugh test.”
Got it? A governor creates a commission to root out corruption, wherever it may be found, including the governor's office, but once it started finding corruption in the governor's office, it became a "conflict of interest" for it to clean up the governor's office.
Yup, this definitely doesn't pass the laugh test, but not in the way that corrupt governor claims.

So are you denying Astorino's problems with racist policies?
You know this is only 1 of many issues Astorino has...like tax cut promise
that never happened and highest property tax rates in state; etc.

Those allegations haven't been proven.

Cuomo made a lot of promises and hasn't delivered.

Bottomline - IMHO and the opinion of a growing number of New Yorkers, Mr. Astorino would be a better governor than Mr. Cuomo has been.

Furthermore - this thread is about Obama's refusal to take responsibility for his failed presidency.

Astorino's failure to reduce taxes as he promised is FACT; he vetoed a 20% tax cut and
has done nothing to decrease taxes in Westchester.
As for what this thread is about...agreed, but you DID bring Cuomo into the discussion too,
so am reacting to your entry! Glad to end outside discussion on this thread and continue
a discussion on CUOMO/ASTORINO in a topic specific thread if you want!

Apparently, there is no one willing to defend Obama and his "WTF - it's not my fault" approach to running the country.  January 20, 2017 can't come fast enough -- then we will have a Republican White House and Republican Congress.

He has made many mistakes...but is far from the only one to make mistakes.
Not thrilled with several of his policies, but much less approving of Georgie Bush's
presidency. I have no respect for that individual!

LMAO... The problem isn't with Obama... no one wants to waste time responding to such a lame observation.

Why are we in Iraq in the first place???
Oh yea.  G WORST Bush's failed oil war.  You remember DVOT don't you?  WMD's, Mushroom Clouds!
Why is there an ISIS?
G Worst Bush didn't keep the Iraqi army as a unit when they surrendered.  He sent them home, often with
their weapons, and left this armed resources to be exploited by the next radical who happened along.
Who installed their puppet as the Iraqi leader... a leader who had his own private war against the Sunnis?
Oh yea... G Worst Bush.
Obama accepts responsibility for his actions, but much of his actions in this region were to clean up G Worst
Bush's mess.

Obama's track record has consistently been to blame others.  The latest was blaming his intelligence advisor for not warning him about ISIS.

I believe his comment was that the threat of ISIL was "UNDERESTIMATED", not that he wasn't warned!

Obama's statements and the statements of members of his own administration have been all over the place.  That is why his foreign policy is so screwed up.  The "underestimated" vs. "warned" is just part of the semantics game --- It didn't fit Obama's "narrative"  (which anytime he uses it is fancy talk for "the lie he wants to sell us") to have been given an "estimated" threat or "been warned" a lot earlier than he wants Americans to think he.   Remember, Obama and many extreme liberals denied that America faced a threat from terrorists.  His sole goal was to bring all the U.S. troops back from Iraq and Afghanistan because he didn't believe America faced a terrorist threat.  Now -- reality has splashed a bucket of ice cold water on him and he "kind of, sort of" has had to come around.   So, he approves air strikes but no boots on the ground against ISIS in Iraq and agrees to keep 10,000 troops in Afghanistan but will tell everyone that the war against terrorism is over there.  His policy will be to try to "keep a lid" on things and hope HIS and HILARY'S BUNGLED MESS doesn't boil over until sometime after January 20, 2017.

Your kidding right?  He's talking about the current system.  It is the Jeff Immelts, the Warren Buffet's, the George Soros'.  He isn't talking about Ron Paul.  He's predicting the current fascist system we currently live under TODAY.

Please, you need to come to terms that you've been living under fascism pretty much your entire life.  The Vietnam War you were sent to fight?  A fascist war for profits.

It's not too late box, you can come to grips with the reality of the fascist state tactics of perpetual war, perpetual enemies, perpetual fear mongering and constant nationalism and patriotism "in defense of the nation".

It's not your fault box...The propaganda you were subjected at such a young age and for such a long time, is virtually impossible to combat.

Box still refuses to accept that socialism forced on people is fascism.

The Soviets used to be where we are today.

Then they went full military enforcement of socialism, ending up with a military run government, espousing communism.
