Of course she pays the bills!!!! It's the mom and daughter's agreement. The daughter gets the home (in the will), and the daughter pays the bills....since she lives there with her mom.  Sure...the taxbill, nat'l grid bill blah blah blah come in in the mom's name....but the DAUGHTER pays them! TRUTH!!

Now here it is in reverse...another friend of ours..she's a widow....she gave the home to both of her daughters. Both daughter's names are on the deed/tax bills. ....HOWEVER....the mother still lives in the house, until she dies, and the MOTHER pays the taxes/bills etc. The mother did this in case she ends up in a nursing home, they couldn't take the house and she would have something to leave her girls. (the daughters do NOT live in the house...they just own it) TRUTH!!

And where do people put their weed clippings?

the dem party is all about the poor seniors and the disabled and that they need to take care of them!

That's fine, but the daughter is NOT the owner of the house, the daughter is NOT eligible to deduct taxes from her tax return.  

But who is the one eligible for STAR Senior tax exemption?   If mama is eligible for senior STAR and often senior aged (low income) tax exemptions, daughter is not paying much in taxes.   And that can be an issue.   Mama's name is the only one on the deed, her income could be $20,000 making her eligible for the low income exemptions, but daughter might have an income of $100,000.
