I just watched the T.A.M.I. show from 1964. Over two hours of music from the same time period as the Animals. The Animals weren't on the show, but it included among others, Jan and Dean, The Beach Boys, Marvin Gaye, The Miracles (before Smokey decided to change the name of the band to Smokey Robinson and the Miracles), The Supremes, Chuck Berry, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Rolling Stones and James Brown. There were a couple more acts but I forget who they were. The 18 minute James Brown set is incredible! |
