Jogging for dead vets must be "doing something".
He needs to jog 22 miles a day every day, for the number of vets that take their own lives each day due to these senseless wars. Just look, after 13 years of war, the US government is ginning up more fear about ISIS being the new scary threat as the reason for continuing these wars and sacrificing American young men and women.
Your right, I don't "get it". Does this guy watch the media propaganda claiming ISIS is a greater threat than Al Qaeda? What did they die for? So the USG could create a new enemy? For a nation that has been at war since WWII, I still find it amazing that people still believe soldiers die for "our freedom". America hasn't been free from some invisible enemy in a far away land in over 60 years.
Sorry...I wasn't moved. It was disappointing to see such a tribute for those men and women that should have never died for geopolitics. |

Great Video Joe. This is the first that I've heard of it. Thanks. |

Explain "gets it"

I don't "get it".
Therein lies the problem in a nutshell.... If it needs to be explained, then those that don't "GET IT", can't and never will! Those that get it, don't need someone else to explain it to them! I posted this even though I knew the haters would hate! They have their freedom to speak their minds...GET IT! |

Yes, Afghanis hate freedom of speech. Thank God they were stopped from crossing the ocean and taking over the government and rewriting the US Constitution. Just like the North Vietnamese were going to do 40 years ago, and the Koreans and Cubans before that. Oh and Panama and Grenada almost got us too! The American people have had a lot of close calls losing the Bill of Rights... |

Yes, 27,000 troops invading Panama was about protecting "freedom" and not about big business using the Panama Canal. Ooops...my fault, he was convicted on drug charges- "War on Drug". Another bullshit pretext for war. Yeah...Freedom! Twenty-three US casualties, 300+ wounded, and upward of 250 Panamanian civilians killed.(for my free speech rights of course) God Bless America! |

So give me your take on "get it", am I supposed to get the fact we armed and trained insurgents and propped up tyrants. Am I supposed to get the fact that the arms we gave Afghanis were used to kill our marines. |

DONT FORGET PANAMA! A marine walked through FIRE to protect you from Manuel Noreaga! You Don't "Get It" Yet! Noreaga was a DRUG DEALER(who just so happened to be on the CIA Payroll)! He needed to be stopped to prevent Americans from putting something in their body that the US government prohibits you from doing! Don't you see this is about FREEDOM!

This is what I don't get, someone who puts so much time and effort into a project doesn't think maybe his time would be better spent saving our troops. Lets be honest this is just a step up from just putting a yellow ribbon magnet (made in China) on our vehicle, neither does anything to save future lives from being cut short. This guy has motivation which I like, I would love to see it put to something worthwhile. |

There lies the entire problem for you and Cissy... for this runner and the rest of America, it IS worthwhile. For you and the board haters, it isn't. As Joe posted, you don't get it. |

Sorry, I don't suffer from American Supremacist Syndrome. Thirteen years of US soldiers bombing the Afghan countryside because of the actions of Saudi hijackers isn't worth my reverence. I get the fact that those bombing the countryside and pissing on dead Afghani's are incapable of independent thinking, that they are unaware of the atrocities they commit. I do feel sorry for them, since their minds have been manipulated to such a degree that they cannot comprehend what they are doing. Not until they get out of the war zone and back home, only then can they reflect on what they did, and sadly, many who do realize what they have done take their own lives. Many soldiers died in an illegal war in Iraq, many killed and maimed tens of thousands of innocent people, only to come home and realize G.W. Bush and those responsible for sending them illegally into Iraq for weapons of mass destruction, continue to live a life free of any punishment for what they put these American men and women through.
So when I see these shallow tributes to American men and women that died, I sit there in amazement wondering why they are not looking for justice of those in power that sent these men and women to their deaths. I wonder how those security men and women that are paid to protect the former president and vice president for the rest of their lives, do not look to bring justice to those that this corrupt political and justice system do not bring to those responsible. Instead, I watch people jog and put flags in the ground. |

I don't know another way to put it. The HATERS don't get it. They don't feel what others feel. They think that they are "special" ... "ME PEOPLE" who will only be a part of themselves their entire lives. "WE PEOPLE" see it differently. When it comes to this issue, you've proven that the Haters are blind to what other Americans feel.
It's ok. You are entitled to your view, and the rest of us are to ours. |
