with MC1 and DV it is NOT topic based....it's the same theme with MC1 regardless of the topic...
cut-n-paste; bash rich people; moan and groan; absolve themselves of the same things they
accuse others of; etc.  Go back and look...NOT TOPIC related, sorry...that's my honest evaluation/opinion.

With Box and Cissy/L4L, there's no bullying at all...it's back and forth disagreements and retorts.

Oh we can't bash rich people anymore?   What do we do?   Praise them for the people in the city losing their homes in order to pay the taxes of the rich downtown owners?

Don't people all over the country bash rich people.   How many people praise Imelt for his riches?   And the millions that the owners or top execs of these companies make when they won't even provide adequate pay and benefits for employees, instead they push the financial burden on to the taxpayers.

And lets see, I guess there is a problem asking someone to provide proof of something they say?   "Taxes are lower than the 1970's."    Really? it's wroing to ask someone to prove it?

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

For the record - I have NEVER used any other username and am willing to testify to that in a court of law if it ever came to that.

Second, I have never hidden my identity.

Third, I won't respond to MC because quite frankly - it does no good.  He/she will just rant and rave despite being proven wrong, and in the end he/she will not change their mind.  He/she is on ignore because of the drawing my family onto discussion on the boards and the lies/personal attacks.  That is the last that I will say about him/her EVER.

Fourth, many people on this board assume that because my user name has Democratic on it that a) I am a puppet of the Democratic Party and b) that I am support every position taken by every Democratic politician.a) -- big laugh -- I have NEVER been a puppet of the Democratic Committee.  Quite honestly, ALL of the political parties in Schenectady County are useless.  Many local politicians have an inflated view of their own importance -- are back stabbers and morally rudderless -- Many local politicians are under the mistaken impression that we work for them -- when in fact - THEY work for us.  I speak my mind and make my own decisions. i will support the PERSONS that I choose to support.  I couldn't care less about political labels.
I have known MANY politicians during my life -- here in other parts of the state and in other states -- including mayors of small and very large cities, several Congress members and 3 or 4 U.S. Senators.  Most were/are good decent, everyday sort of people that you wouldn't mind hanging out with.  Some - were just plain jack asses that I wouldn't trust to house sit my pet cat (if I had one) - including a couple current politicians who serve in this area.
b) my user name Democratic does indicate that I am a democrat -- I believe in democracy -- and I happen to be a registered Democrat -- but I am most certainly a conservative Democrat .. and not just moderately conservative.  In all of the Presidential elections that I was eligible to vote in, I have NEVER voted for a Democrat for President.  Lyndon Johnson was the last decent Democratic nominee for president and, unfortunately, I was only 2 years old when he was on the ballot.

Funny, claims I've been proven wrong but NEVER posts the posts that ne claims I or my spouse has been proven wrong.

I prove him wrong, e.g., "County taxes are lower now than in the 1970's" but never once does he respond to explain how he makes that statement.   Stating a LIE like that is good for one thing only, brown nosing the political party.

I don't read his posts anymore. Problem solved. At least for me.

It's kind of like there's a mosquito in the room, because you sort of hear it buzzing around so you know it's there. But you just ignore it because it's not worth the effort to get up and swat it.

If I'm MC1 and DV posts that, then I'll post my response each time he says it until he brings information to the contrary... it's not a rant, its the truth

Indifferent is never an option in an opinion poll.  They are only presented in a "for or "against", "yes" or "no", "approve" or "disapprove" format.  This is America, there is only two ways of looking at the world.  Years of true/false multiple choice testing on display.  Don't think, pick one of the predetermined options, the teacher will correct you if you are wrong.

Who cares what difference they make?... Boxy threadbombs gunhugger and tea party stuff on a daily basis, with no chance of changing anyone's mind and we get crickets from you.
Here's some advice , DON"T READ THEM and put MC1 on ignore, then you'll have nothing to complain about....maybe...

No more rants from me.  I promise to not use the "N-word" (nayboob)  but I reserve the right to use the "R-word"  (renaissance).

Argumentum Ad Hominem is a legitimate(though fallacious) rhetorical tool.  Attacking the reputation of your debate opponent is fair game.  We see it every election cycle.  Hundreds of millions of dollars are spent running these types of ads.  George Bush used cocaine, George Bush was an alcoholic, Swift Boating of John Kerry, Obama's birth certificate, Obama's a Muslim, Bill Clinton smoked weed, John Edwards cheated on his dying wife, Mitt Romney is a rich Mormon.  It goes on and on and on....

There does come a point where the audience may begin to feel sympathy for the person getting attacked and the ad hominem attacks begin hurting the reputation of the attacker.
