Looking at the existing sidewalk you can see it is not in good condition.
It has been blacktopped over in many places and some of the sidewalk is just plain blacktop.
It runs from the bus garage to the Church at Curry Rd, and then has a crosswalk at the school/garage.
The plans call for a flashing light at the crossover.
That sounds reasonable.
If you go to google street view you will see a police car sitting right before the crossover waiting to write tickets.

what was so hard about maintaining the sidewalk thru the years by the town
that 1/2 million could be better spent - like crosswalks and walk lights at 5 corners
sidewalks on rt7 between 5 corners and 4 corners
and water and sewer swaps |

Perhaps if they did something about the RPD's budget and the yearly raises the powers that be give themselves and the patronage jobs....maybe they could then address the REAL issues facing the TAXPAYERS!!!!! |

That sidewalk is being used as parking for the homeowners, and the police don't say anything. |
