Town Wide Boil Water Advisory Effective Immediately until futher notice

Effective Immediately, the Town of Rotterdam is placing an Emergency Water Restriction due to a water main break.  We are requesting the following water restrictions be put in place immediately:

No watering of lawns, no car washing, no unnecessary outdoor use of water.

Town Hall is Closed for the day will reopen tomorrow July 1, 2014 due to the water main breaks

From your Tax Office:

water payments can be made on July 1, 2014 with no penalty

and the day off???????......huh???...no water bottles available.....private industry rules.....use time and not paid for anything like this..

in fact....sometimes had to use candles or emergency lighting to keep working......

so now they can jump into their pools to keep cool......and burn up energy with their filters...

Yes interesting, why would town offices need to close?  But not businesses?  Come on, toilet's aren't working at Walmart, Price Chopper, Hannaford, the fast food joints, the town gin mill, etc

Heard they were going to have to shut the entire town down with hopes of restoration sometime Wednesday.

they don't need customers to come in to make money.........they just dig their hands into the taxpayer's pockets!!!

Oh of course it's paid time.  Government workers never have to charge time.  

Knew someone who worked, I can't remember if it was Pr Chopper or Hannaford in the ice storm of 08, they place was closed, they lost pay for the day.

Just like the stupid governor last week giving state employees an extra hour time off to watch the soccer game.  I enjoy soccer but not at taxpayer expense.  Will the gov offer early release time tomorrow for tomorrows game?
