So those that served in WWI and WWII and Korea and so on, they were just bad people who didn't care about anyone else but themselves....

I never said anybody was a "bad person".  My grandfather was in WWII, and he never thought of himself as a hero.  He hated his service and struggled with PTSD when he returned home.  He was also aware that the government lied and lied to the people at home when reporting what was going on in the war.  He was aware that the Soviet Union was the winner in WWII.  He enlisted to fight the Japanese that attacked Pearl Harbor and he ended up in the Arden Forest.

He didn't want to go anywhere but would rather have raised his family, not fight a European war.  Look at the battles against the Japanese during WWII...Battle of Midway, Battle of Iwo Jima, you don't see many European Allies involved.

But...If the military needed him there to fight a European War, who is he to question?  

A soldier is not to question why, he is just to do and die.

I do not wish to be worshipped or recognized as having done something special by doing what I felt was right
for me and was done for my reasons (not yours or those you think I bowed to)...that's FACT!
