The NRA wants to take your guns away...
if you own a "Smart Gun".

Quoted Text
Armatix iP1, a compact, .22 caliber, 10-round pistol made in Germany. The iP1
is a “smart” gun, meaning it only fires in the hands of its owner. Or rather, it only fires
if it’s within 10 inches of its companion iW1 watch, which is presumably on the owner’s
wrist. It can also be disabled with a timer or a PIN code.

Yeah what can go wrong with this gun when you need it, how long do you think those electronics will hold up after countless shots and recoil. If you lose your watch how much does it cost for a new one and I'm guessing you would have to send your gun in to get it reprogrammed. What does it take AA batteries or do you have to charge it up every night   By the way the NRA doesn't want to take this gun away, the government of NJ wishes to make all sales of guns smart guns after the 1st one is sold in the country, that basically eliminates the sale of all guns that don't have this technology. So say you want to get into trap shooting, sorry they don't make a over and under smart shotgun so your screwed. Say you want to go hunting, sorry they don't make a smart hunting rifle so your screwed.

Let the company make the guns and if they're so great people will buy them and if not the company will stop making them. Just don't try to force people to buy only that type of gun.

So it's ok to ban guns that the NRA doesn't like... Suppose these guns turn out to be the safest
guns ever made and almost eliminate gun theft and stolen guns being used in crime...
Then the NRA will dictate which type of guns will be sold???

Why not the American people making that decision?

That's what I said, let the free market determine if the product is any good. Neither the NRA nor the government should tell us what to buy whether it's a gun, car or a lousy health-care plan.

Neither the NRA nor the government should tell us what to buy whether it's a gun, car
or a lousy health-care plan.

So Shadow believes that the GOvt shouldn't be able to mandate seat belts, air bags or any
safety device in a car.  Just leave it up to the 'free market' to determine safety.

Yea right!

Let the regulations be set by the states not the Federal government so the people have some control over what's being shoved down our throats.

So Shadow suggests that each state... all 50 of them need to test seatbelts before they
mandate them in cars.
All 50 states need to set up labs to test products, not just one lab to test a new product.
All 50 states need to write legislation on one product.

Sounds like 50 times the cost for the same results.

Most people aren't like you and don't need the government to tell them what to do, that's why you're born with a brain to think for yourself.

I remember before seatbelts were mandatory on cars.  I remember when kids would get xrays at a
shoe store to be sure that their new shoes fit properly.  I remember when asbestos was common in
homes in America and so was lead paint.
"Most people"  had no idea that these things needed changing, but thanks to OUR GOVERNMENT
laws now protect "most people" from these dangers.

If it were up to Senders, he'd still be driving in a car not equipped with seat belts, still getting
xrays at the shoe store, still be sucking down asbestos in his home, and still painting his home with
lead paint.
"Most People" don't think like Senders.

Going back to "a serf working for peanuts"???
You must be referring to the Bush Economic Meltdown...
the economy that Obama has going in the right direction.

Even cheaper if one governing body regulated the whole world.
