Sterling has already lost anything that he values.

He doesn't value anything.. he's had several mistresses , parading them in front of his estranged wife...and his money will buy as many as he wants.. The guy is a scumbag and ornery enough to hang on to the clippers and let them circle the drain... He's worth well over a billions dollars and the Clippers are about 20% of that...
Mark my word, the NBA has left him a huge opening by over-reacting and he WILL drag them through the courts, possibly costing them much more than the 2.5 million that they fined him.... and there's no way he'll pay the fine until the legal actions are over...and based on his appearance, he'll likely be dead by then.

He's banned from ownership and banned from the game.  The rest is just $$$ for the 1%.

I don't believe he was banned from ownership....it was recommended that the board ban him
from ownership, but my understanding is that it requires a 2/3 majority to do so....interesting to see if it happens.

As for him taking legal action, possibility. But if he has any lawyers with any smarts,
they will inform him to not sue and quickly move away from this whole thing to prevent
any further financial consequences to his businesses/investments.

I didn't catch it all but on CNN they said that "by contract", an owner agrees that:
the commissioner can levy fines, he can ban from the game with a 2/3 vote of the owners.
That is part of the contract signed when you buya team.

They can force him to sell, but they can't force him to take a bargain basement amount for the team...
He paid about 11 million for the team, by estimates the team is now worth 550 million..
Now, he won't get that because of the circumstances, but even if he sells for half that much, he walks away with a huge profit....
Anyone thinking he'll be walking the streets destitute will be sadly disappointed... He could care less about them about as much as they could care less about him

As I posted above, the money won't be the punishment... losing his POWER and CONTROL will be.

I don't think Donald Tokowitz is concerned about losing power.  He pledged to built a $50 million homeless shelter in LA, I'm sure he still has some sway.

REALLY...and what is the status of this wonderful humanitarian act?  What I read is that it was self-promoting
smoke and mirrors. Goes back about 5+ years and I don't believe anything has been done, other than his own
full page ads proclaiming his wonderful gesture.
One of several articles written discussing his FAKE philanthropy.

Quoted Text
Anyone reading the Los Angeles Times over the past 15 years has had to endure Donald Sterling's ceaseless self-aggrandizing ads for his 300+ apartment buildings, his massive lines of credit from major banks (to buy more buildings) and, worst of all, his charity work. Using the same ad lay-out year after year, Sterling associates himself with many brand name charities -- using mug shots of their executive directors as well as those of his real estate and sports industry pals... co-honorees at various events he sponsors.

The problem is that his foundation's public reporting is opaque and it's impossible to tell what, if anything, of consequence his foundation has accomplished... except in promoting Donald Sterling and occasionally his now-estranged wife, Rochelle. A much-advertised $50 million Donald Sterling Homeless Shelter for downtown L.A. has been promoted in the pages of the Los Angeles Times for eight years yet nothing has been built. Currently, photos of a Donald Sterling Malibu Horse Ranch (to open in 2015, "for inner city youth") are being run in even more Los Angeles Times ads.

What I found "interesting" is that he was sued for housing discrimination and had a "history" but yet the NAACP gave him a lifetime achievement award back in 2009 and was to give him another this month, of course NOW that's been cancelled.

It's all about the money $$$$$$$$$$$$ himself, his estranged wife, his "girlfriend" the NAACP

Supposedly the golddigger has over 100 hours taped of phone conversations.

Now she'll probably end up with a reality show.

Nothing is private anymore.

Racists are pretty much free to say whatever they please.
And those who oppose racists are free to take whatever action (legal) they see fit in response.

I didn't say it was genuine.  I was just pointing out that he can still dangle $50 million over politicians heads.  He isn't losing any power by the NBA ban.

You are so naïve to believe that!
He will fade into the background and then cease to exist!
NO ONE wants to associate with him or will in the future...HE'S TOXIC!
