Some relief expected this month; record cold in March will impact May bills.

Electricity customers across the northeast have been suffering through month after month
of record-breaking cold that brought with it extremely high wholesale energy prices. The
volatility in both weather and electricity prices has had a roller coaster impact on your
monthly bill. The good news is your April bill will be approximately 40 percent lower than
it was in March. Typical residential customers using 600 kwh a month will see their March
bill of $130 drop to approximately $75 in April.
