Yeah....And it hasn't gotten any better since last year.

A major reason that hasn't happened is there simply aren't enough primary care physicians to handle all the newly insured patients, says ACEP President Mike Gerardi, an emergency physician in New Jersey.

Yup, and opening up the borders to millions of uneducated poor people, along with the boomers generation reaching their retirement years, this problem of doctor shortages should be resolved in no time at all.

Again... Cissy wants the Doctors to only tend to the wealthy, then if they have time, they can heal
the middle class... and ignore the poor.

I got mine... screw everyone else!

Maybe you missed the point of the article. THERE AREN'T ENOUGH DOCTORS TO TEND TO EVERYBODY.  At some point, even you have to recognize the reality of supply an demand.

People are now going to the ER to get their hemorrhoids treated, reducing the number of beds available for the person that is having a heart attack or was in a car accident.

And too boot...Insurance companies are receiving subsidies to insure the uninsured, to pay for their medical care, medical care people aren't getting because there isn't enough doctors to see them.  That is GREAT for the insurance companies.  That's like forcing everybody to purchase collision coverage on your car, and there being no mechanics or body shops available to repair cars.

Question for Box:

If there is a greater demand for doctors, and a limited supply of doctors...How do doctors decide on which patients to care for?
(if I was to base it off of what box posts, Dr. Box would treat the patients with the least amount of means to pay, and let the rich die)

that will be easy to fix, they're already doing it.....regulation and limitation via diagnosis....they hide it under the term

'best standard of practice'.....that 'best' isn't anything more than wall paper/paint and a pitcher of water....never mind your
wait, infections, general overall poor health (THAT YOU HAVE DONE TO YOURSELF)....

EVEN HOSPICE IS REQUIRED TO KNOW WHAT YOUR BMI IS.....HOSPICE AND BMI IN THE SAME SENTENCE....HAHAHAHAHA

AGAIN, health care IS NOT the same as medical care....the public is really dumb when it comes to taking care of itself...
the public also does NOT take responsibility for it's own health CARE.....national health insurance will MANDATE HOW YOU
TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.......

since we've become so civilized we've lost the inherent ability to take care of ourselves....remove the man from the land
and he dies a slow painful death being ripped apart by the blubbering mass of the society he lives in.....the respect for the human
has turned into the worship of the system....

we're not much different from the ancients who sacrificed their young to the fire.

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

No... it comes down to people doing the same thing as before when they didn't have insurance... they are not used to waiting for the care, like the rest of us....My cousin works as a ER nurse and hears it all the time, when the staff mentions going to your Primary care doctor instead, the response is similar to "I'm not going to wait a f'ing week"

Doctors/Public, Divided on Obamacare

Quoted Text
“Add it all up, and 52 percent of doctors dislike the law, compared to 48 percent who view
it favorably. That four-point gap is basically the same as the larger public’s three-point gap, 42-39.”
Washington Post

Ted Cruz, Then and Now on Supreme Court Justice John Roberts

THEN:
“One of the best constitutional minds in the country.”
NOW:
“Unelected judges have once again become legislators, and bad ones at that.
They are lawless, and they hide their prevarication in legalese.”

Who pays for Cicero's healthcare???
Certainly not Cicero.  He pays a small part of his health care bill.
Who pays the rest?
His employer if he is employed by a firm that offers health care benefits...
But who pays the rest???

Of course Medicare for seniors and Medicaid for the poor, which both began in the 1960s,
represent direct government transfers from some taxpayers to others. My guess, Cicero
isn't eligible for either.  So who pays for the rest of Cissy's health care?

If you're insured through an employer that files an income-tax return, Cicero's coverage is
heavily subsidized by the feds. Tax deductions for private medical coverage cost the U.S.
Treasury $250 billion a year.
So... I guess we, the taxpayers, pay for Cicero's health care.

The household portion of the health-spending pie shrank from 37 percent in 1987 to 28 percent
in 2012. But it's still larger than the federal government's 26 percent share or business's 21 percent.
So if Cicero is a typical American, he only pays about 30% of his tax bill.  The rest is picked up by
his employer, the state and federal govt.

SO as much as Cicero whines, and cries about his Taxes... it isn't Cicero who pays for most of his
Health Care Bill... It's YOU AND I, THE TAXPAYER!
