See... with out a weapon, Henry is defenseless.  

The principal violated the "lockdown" policy.  I thought children were being taught to curl up in a ball and hope not to be stabbed?  This principal is setting a bad example, teaching children to be proactive when faced with danger.  Kids can't ever be taught that they are capable of facing danger.  This principal did a lot of damage.

Gee...my children are locked in their classroom when there is a crazed murderer in the school.  Fleeing from danger seems logical.  I guess the opinions of idiot government workers varies by state.  

sh!t like this happens in public schools because the utopian rules and behavior modifications to keep status quo while ignoring
the human and making cogs, SCREWS with the human psyche for the sake of the 'system's success'.....

Actually, it may not be safe to flee a building as one can't be certain how many persons are involved in the attack.  One could be waiting outside to harm people who flee the building or booby traps could be set up to harm those who attempt to flee (as they did at Columbine).
