I wonder what the reaction would be if an entertainer was fired from a show for making off-the-air remarks against corporate greed, or war, or whatever. An opinion that a certain sector like.
You mean like Angus from Two and a Half men???? Spoke out about gratuitous greed and worthlessness of show. |

No, there is not. He was presenting commentary on a news program, it was scripted, and the network approved it. He is supposed to be a JOURNALIST.
Martin Bashir was presenting COMMENTARY (not news) as he often does at the end of his show in the COMMENTARY segment named "CLEAR THE AIR", where Bashire COMMENTED on a NEWS STORY. Commentary by definition, is OPINION... NEWS is FACT (except on FoxSnooze). |

There are many types of slavery and debt is one form of it, it should be no surprise the left would spin it into a race issue. I don't believe he should of got fired for this, it would be more important for him to keep his job and remind us what is wrong with the left today. |

"Spin the race issue???" Palin introduced 'race', not Bashir. Bashir just commented on her characterization of it. |

Nope she was mentioning debt as slavery, she brought race in because she knew some idiot would try to spin what she was saying and she was right. Her comment had zero to do with the slavery of African Americans, as I said there are many kinds of slavery. Google slave to debt or debt slavery, yes it is a term highly used. |

Cracker Barrel Flipflops on Nixing 'Duck Dynasty' Items From ShelvesBy LIZ FIELDS | Good Morning America – 5 hours ago Good Morning America - Cracker Barrel Flipflops on Nixing 'Duck Dynasty' Items From Shelves (ABC News) Less than 48 hours after Cracker Barrel announced plans to pull Duck Dynasty items off its shelves in the wake of cast member Phil Robertson's anti-gay comments, the Southern country store and restaurant chain has reversed its decision. Cracker Barrel's reversal of its former position was posted this morning to Facebook, following a flurry of negative responses from customers and fans who showed support to the patriarch of the "Duck Dynasty" family. "When we made the decision to remove and evaluate certain Duck Dynasty items, we offended many of our loyal customers. Our intent was to avoid offending, but that's just what we've done," the company wrote. "You flat out told us we were wrong. We listened.""People weren't shy. They wrote, called and took to social media," company spokesman Jeff Eller told ABC News about the company's decision to go back on its original pledge to ax "selected products" from its stores. The restaurant was the first major retailer to announce its stance on the Robertson scandal since his remarks went public. A statement posted on the company's Facebook page on Friday read: "Cracker Barrel's mission is pleasing people. We operate within the ideals of fairness, mutual respect and equal treatment of all people. These ideals are the core of our corporate culture." The Facebook post indicated the company would continue to sell some Duck Commander products in stores, but would continue to "evaluate the products we offer." The announcement today confirmed the company will be reinstating all Duck Dynasty products back into its stores. http://gma.yahoo.com/cracker-b.....news-topstories.html

Hobby Lobby isn't controlling the access to birth control; they just don't want to pay for it. These woman can get birth control at planned parenthood. The analogy is invalid... |

what I find most amusing is how everyone is jumping on the bandwagon 'for or against' this issue. From politicians to churches, to activist groups. These idiots will use anything/anybody to gain unwarranted recognition. it's pretty simple here......this was an opinion voiced thru one form of the media (GQ). it was a gift for a magazine who not many read. because of this opinion via GQ....a&e suspends the guy. Hence....another lame stream media witch hunt. If everybody just kept their mouth's shut, the lame stream media would be dead in the water. If ya don't agree with a&e....don't watch them anymore. the power is with the consumer. Personally...........if I were the 'duck family'..........i'd tell a&e to go pound salt and be outta there faster than you can shoot a duck!!! i'm sure that one of the many dying cable/networks would just love to sign them on. And even at that..........if I were the 'duck family'.....i'd tell them all to go pound salt too. but hey....i'm not them. this issue should be like 'water rolling off a ducks back'!! |

Sure...at the same time the GOP War On Women is putting $millions of dollars into shutting down Planned Parenthood throughout the USA. Great solution. Louisiana for example, has only two PP Clinics left open. One in Baton Rouge, the other in New Orleans. Mississippi has only one still surviving the GOP War On Women. The cost of providing birth control for employers is cheaper than not providing it from most insurance companies. Birth control is relatively inexpensive... pregnancy and covering one more dependent is very expensive. |
