Woman killed in Hunter Mountain accident HUNTER - A New York City woman is dead after falling 22-feet from a chairlift on Hunter Mountain. Police say Olga Filkin, 44, of Brooklyn fell out of the lift near ski lift near Tower 1 on Sunday. Hunter Mountain officials say the fall occurred about 100 feet uphill from the chairlift’s load point. Filkin was taken to a first aid room on the property where she was pronounced dead. Police say Filkin was an experienced skier and the lap bar was down at the time. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
