why did they keep going east in russia? and south into North Africa... I guess Africa must have been an unknown part of the prussian empire

The Italians went into North Africa.  Hitler had to send troops to bail the Italians out.  The Italians wanted control over the Suez Canal, they could stop the flow of oil going to Britain, it was strategic.  Didn't have anything to do with reunification of Germans.

Go back and look at the pre WWI map of Europe. Then read about the Treaty of Versailles and the post WWI map of Europe.

Yes,  he used political rhetoric to inspire the masses.  We have it here.   Our politicians utter the phrases like American exceptionalism" or. "Christian Nation".    He felt his people were the best in the world, and he inspired his people to following him by repeating it.  Sound familiar?  Americans are told all the time how great we are as a people, and how our way if life must be exported around the world.  By force if necessary.  We may not say master race, but many Americans are convinced we are certainly the master civilization.

I always wonder how people feel they know North Korea is a sh!thole.  I remember during the 80's I was led to believe Russia was a sh!thole.  Then I talked to people who actually visited, their description created a much different picture than the news media and government propaganda.

I'm not saying the guy wasn't coerced to confess.  Just wonder how accurate the image of North Korea created by propaganda is.  I trust Dennis Rodman's description more the the Federal Government or news media.

OMG!  This IS Funny!

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

OK... What about Russia?? I don't see any correlation on the WWI map and the Treaty of Versailles... and what did the Jews have to do with either?

The Jews were the same as the Japanese in America.   They were viewed as a threat to German nationalism.  Sure, American only interned the Japanese Americans and didn't kill them, but demonized them none the less, and used propaganda to create a public hatred for one ethnic group.  The Germans feared that the Jews (that many believed brought about the Russian revolution)  would bring a revolution to Germany.

Hitler went into Russia because he thought that the Red Army was weak, and defeating the Red Army would secure the German lands he was recapturing that he lost after the Treaty of Versailles.  He didn't believe the US and Britain could defeat the German army alone.

The treaty was imposed upon Germany, the Germans were not involved in the negotiations.  The Germans lost a lot of territory after the Treaty of Versailles, and forced to pay reparations for decades.  The Nazi's persuaded the German people to blame those nations that imposed the treaty onto them as the cause for their economic problems.
