The 'hater' seems to think that spitting on someone is an acceptable form of protest. Says a lot about his values. I wonder if the 'hater' will spit on the Marines returning from the Philippines? |

Never said anything even remotely close to hating veterans.
The military is the organization that promoted hate.
Hating killing and destruction is very far from hating veterans that apparently didn't realize what they were joining.
I agree!! Hating the 'killing war machine' is hardly the same as 'spitting' on someone. That is clearly a stretch...dontcha think? Didn't spit on my grandfather......looked at him and think of him with remorse and yes with some anger at the system that changed his life and his families life forever!! HE WENT THRU HELL AND BACK and so did his family!! Yup.....I will not support a 'system' that promotes such hate! And neither did my grandfather and grandmother. |

So you would condone spitting on a Veteran because they were in the military, is that correct? |

Who brought up spitting? By the way that was a rumor that got blown out of proportion and people ate it up. |

Some seem to consider "spitting" within their acceptable standard of communication.
Quoted Text
"Spitting" on a representative of the killing machine, who at the time slaughtered entire villages of innocent people. It's an act of disrespect and protest.
Quoted Text
Your team has caused massive death and destruction around the world. My team has "spit" at soldiers and said mean things to make them think about their ignorant actions.
When you are dealing with people who have the mentality and behavior of 3 year old toddlers (spitters), direct communication is a waste of time. |

On "HATE" and "HATERS":
I wonder how many Navy Corpsmen, who spent much of their time attending to Vietnamese civilians, were spit on by the "HATERS"? For many rural Vietnamese, a Navy corpsman (or Army medic) was the only medical attention they ever received in their entire lives.
Consider; A Navy Corpsman who spent much more of his time tending the wounds of the enemy than the wounds of fellow Americans. The care given to the enemy was no less than the care given to his fellow Marines.
Consider, An entire community infested with intestinal parasites, kids with legs and arms full of 'jungle rot', infants who's lives were saved by a Navy corpsman's medication to treat dysentery, broken bones set in the field with out the benefit of even an x-ray, by a Corpsman who's never set a bone in his life, and a compassionate Corpsman, after giving a shot of morphine, held the hand of a dying old man who had been gored in the head by a water buffalo.
One thing that I learned a long time ago about "HATE"... Eventually "HATE" is irrelevant to those being hated, but poisonous to the "HATERS". |

The fact is it didn't happen, it was a myth that spread. When you think of that story what do you picture, let me guess some vets just returning home from the airport am I right? |

I quoted a "SPITTER" in his own words admitting the deed. Apparently it did happen. Ask him. |

He never admitted spitting physically, spitting in his context meant they protested the war which is why the myth was invented to attack the anti-war movement. Nice try though. |

Nice Try??? I'm not the one saying 'MY TEAM SPIT ON PEOPLE'. I guess he should know if he spit on someone, and I doubt that you can conclusively say that it never happened. You can quote a false instance where it was reported to have happened, but that has nothing to do with 'spitting' elsewhere. Again, in his own words he admits (and seems proud) of spitting on US Troops. Ask him. |

I don't know why you bother....really! This is just a typical REIDRECT....avoiding the real issue regarding folks who are against the killing machine. Folks who have seen the ravages of war. It's blow back. It senseless violent wars. Folks who question the men/women who willing join such a 'killing machine'...and let's not forget....let's celebrate by singing the STAR SPANGLED BANNER!! It's disgraceful. and my grandfather was DRAFTED.....he would have NEVER 'joined'! He had NO CHOICE!! Knowing what I do today....he would have been a draft dodger and moved his family to Canada if only draft dodging was in fashion then.....and we would have been better for it. |
