I found my 1st cannon ball after 15 years of metal detecting I found it near the river in a section where another metal detectorist told me a guy found a trunnion from a cannon. I found a few colonial musket balls and buttons in that area but this is one of my coolest finds. The other piece I'm still trying to identify, not sure if it has anything to do with a cannon or if its just a piece of farm equipment.

Here is a couple that were found in 2010 in the area, they believe to be dated from 1756-1763 or during the French Indian war, the one on the left looks exactly like mine.
