yesterday there was a bad smell in the air in Rotterdam...thought it was my septic or neighbor's septic tank...

manure smell....ugh....checked my shoes for "poop".......read news that the stench was not just in my area but elsewhere..

anyone else experience this smell......

mystery. of what it was and where it came from....

I did notice it here in the Upper Union area. First I thought maybe a neighbor's pets had come close to my yard, but then I thought perhaps someone was putting down unusually pungent mulch or fertilizer. Much as I'd like to think so, it didn't originate in downtown.

Had the same experience about a month ago....come to find out it was a private garbage truck doing pick ups....I wish I could
remember the company...I know the truck was white and VERY dirty....

must have been a big garbage truck.....this stench was and odor for many miles...not just in this area....

smelled it from mobil all the way to price chopper and into coldbrook.....
