It was your analogy.  I just pointed out how ridiculous it was.

Really?  Tell some one that buys your BS. You have a lot of rhetoric,
analogies, TIC, straw man, etc. that always pops up when challenged
about your stupid comments! Try some composition that people can read
and is clear and concise...it might spawn some intelligent conversation,
but you would definitely be at a disadvantage then!

PS - Last comment was not TIC...just to be clear.

I'm saying practice what you preach, opt out of your tax breaks that others don't receive and pay your full share like everyone else. I just find it amazing you rip on me and Cicero when it is you who is paying less taxes. Just think of all the good 50 years of 25% off could have done, I would be interested to know what your taxes are and then we could do a little math together.

So you think that I should opt out of my senior discount on my taxes Henry???

If you wish but lets start with that 25% discount, come on shoot me your property tax number and lets figure it out, hell I'm sure you know the number off the top off your head already on what you save.

25% discount?  That is only for Combat Vets.  Others from my era get 15%.

How is it different from my Senior Property Tax Deduction?  Why is one acceptable and the other
not???  Or do you hate Old People the same way you hate Veterans?

I think the discount is the same for Seniors as it is for combat vets.  25% but, alas, it only
applies to certain taxes.
Like the Star Exemption it reduces your assessed property value but only on School Taxes, so
does a senior or vets exemption only reduces assessment on certain taxes, not all taxes.

Is that what you want to know Henry???
Now... should I keep my senior tax discount too???

This is funny box doesn't want to give a number, after all the sh*t talking about me and cicero it is him who is the biggest fraud here when it comes to taxes. Don't ever complain about roads or schools or any other bs you place on me and others, when you start paying what everyone else pays then you can talk.

the senior discount/vet discount/star discount are all stupid talking points for a broken system....like hamsters we run around
collecting all the sh!t that gets spewed from a politician's podium, as if it validates us as humans....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Box's 25% discount is HIS "fair share", because it benefits HIM.  Talk about ME-ME-ME.

Comparing disabled people and seniors leaving the workforce, to able bodied veterans is a horrible analogy.  Giving a 26 year old, combat veteran, that joins the police force making $45K per year a tax exemption is much different than giving a quadriplegic or 75 year old senior an exemption.

He believes the government knows what is best when it comes to our tax dollars, yet he doesn't trust them enough to give a equal share to them. His savings go right into his pocket for him to spend. Sad part is I believe his money is probably better spent by him then the government, he buys at local shops and helps small businesses, but what's even more sad is that he doesn't trust you or me to spend our money on what we think might help. Nope to him that is wrong, only the government knows what is best for your money and my money.

As stated above, each community passes it's own legislation.  One county may vote for a
vets exemption at 5%, another at 25% and another at 0%.

On his primary residence... Yea.  He should.
Here's the part you don't get... HE EARNED IT!  (You didn't)
