just a guess...but believe heading in the direction of consolidation.....just look at who is getting the jobs in local government....nearly all are

from the same area......Rott Dems are infiltrating in city and county positions....no one see or knows that.......

dispatch is the first step......favoritism nepatism.....not enough words to describe what has happened.....garbage in...garbage out.

Obviously you can't answer the question.

You know that consolidation is merely getting less for the same money.

Remember consolidation of the Schenectady High Schools?

Remember consolidation of all the school and the $16 million dollar per year transportation costs it created?

Yes, so true, but the Dummy Voice of Rotterdam will NOT address those FACTS, those TRUTHS.   And of course if all the school districts were consolidated into one, then you know the kids would have to be bused all over the place at substantially more money than it costs to pay for the multiple superintendents.  Because all the punks in what is now the city would have to be bused out to what is now Nisky area or SG, Duanesburgh, Shalmont, and all the kids in what is now those districts will have to be bused much much much further than they go now and be brought int the city proper because the government school district will have to realign everything to make it racially and economically "balanced."  This will all mean kids have to get up earlier in the morning  or school will have to start later, then kids will get home much later, especially if involved in after school activities.  Family dinners will be later.  Oh when will the kids have time for homework and study?

Then at the non-school level, just the cities and towns, well heck, there may be a mayor, but all the existing supervisors will wind up being "district level" deputy mayors.  No money saved.  The current towns will be left without police protection because the police will all have to be sent into what is now the city areas.
All this is a typical dem socialist idea to help give more money to the downtown political cronies.   But of course a 50 yr old who is not a taxpayer would not understand that.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

it's a hot diggety-dog giant leech

as for my character....it's straight forward....this is a public forum, not a court of law, not a coffee commercial and
certainly NOT a public announcement written by the government....I choose how to use my words in the context/place
that I feel is appropriate to the situation....this is a serious problem that seriously affects us all....I decided to use
a serious word....it worked and you answered...you didn't disagree with the term leech now,,,did you?

senders, I certainly understand where you are coming from, but don't let exposure to the way "they" are get to you. It's corrosive. I know. I don't know how Mr. Riggi does it, he maintains his composure while those around him behave like snotty little jackasses. It's a Twilight Zone episode, only a few people can see the monsters for what they are.

they haven't 'gotten' to me....I've always seen them for who/what they are.....I can't speak to each persons
character, and I don't believe all humans are purposefully bad,,,,but I do know that all humans have the same
proclivities, just in different doses and seasonings....toss $$/power into that salad and,,,,YES,,,,fu(k becomes and
adjective.

NYC isn't managed, it is out of control.

Apartments start at $1,500.

NYC has the same problems, the cost of former fire/police/city employees eats up half the tax base.

The percent that goes to retirees will increase every year because the payout rates are still the same.

It costs more to pay former employees than to run the entire current city full of employees.

Bloomberg will be leaving a mess. The media helped him hide it to some extent, but then they realized what a nut he is, belatedly. Notice that temporary stockyard down at the DSS. Mothers with babies, it looked like the fall of Saigon, but nobody will hold it against Bloomberg even though they were refugees from the city he is supposed to be running. Telling grown men what size of cup they can purchase soda in at the movie theater when you have people with nowhere to live. His solution to the high costs of city workers was to try to make the starting salary for a NYC cop $24,000.
I don't mean to be that disagreeable, Patches, I just really resent how downstate politicians have been using our city as a dump for inconvenient people.

Madam X.....your statements are really not disagreeable to me.....but, sensing what is happening in NYC...i don't give a damn....because you are right...all the low lifes and leeches are here in our COUNTY....
the first time I ever went to NYC back in the 50's.......in Times Square and gunshots rang out ...and everyone was scattering....I never went back..

Now, years later....gunshots in my own community...only took so many years for that to happen....not safe here or anywhere these days...

comparing NYC to our neighborhood......not much different....and putting the finger isn't going to solve it....government is the same everywhere.
