Navy Yard Shooting: Right On Time, Gun Control Advocates Blame AR-15in Breaking News 46 mins ago

Semi-auto rifles are involved in less than 2.5% of murders, which are trending downwards nationally

Kit Daniels

Major media outlets are now reporting that one of the shooters was armed with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle.

No doubt that this will lead to a continued push by the establishment to completely ban “assault rifles,” especially in the heels of California passing a bill to ban new sales of semi-automatic rifles.

must be the NRA, terrorist would quit if there was gun control

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Notice there is no commentary in all these shootings with highly controlled handguns. Like on Becker Street, Times Square, etc. Also no action on better mental health care, which is what many people have been saying is needed to prevent incidents like what happened in Colorado and Connecticut. It makes me think that the real goal is removing constitutional rights, not saving lives.

My comment is this:::;    the Syria problems......we need to take care of our own....seems that Homeland Security is not working when the

concentration of government is in Asia and other countries......

America is as strong as we make it from within.....and that does not seem to be happening..

God bless those that were "murdered" and those who may been hurt.....

Cowards do this.....and to top it off ....the shooter was a military construction whatever......

there is no justification for this shooting and it is becoming the norm.....tell me we need no control control....right to bear arms???

with the consitution changing from day to day.......that amendment should be GONE

and this upsets me to no end....that those who profess "their rights" are those who need to check their conscience...

AGAIN GOD BLESS THOSE WHO DIED AND WERE HURT.

my conscience is exactly where it belongs....on my left and right shoulder and controlling MY CHOICE.....

so let me ask if the person had a knife and maimed 2 people and killed 2 people before being stopped would that be OKAY with
everyone?

does the weapon matter?

and don't give an 'at least' answer......think about it....really really think about it......

living in urban/suburbia puts folks in a barrel like goldfish waiting for the games to begin......bloomberg is trying to make NYC a
medieval fortress....and this is what??????

AMERICA?????

Senders,
Use that thing that's located midway between "your left shoulder and your right shoulder" and think about
it.

Is a stone as dangerous a weapon as a bomb?
Is a knife as dangerous a weapon as an RPG?
Is a single shot shotgun as dangerous a weapon as Poison Gas?

If you were confronted by someone with a stone, a bomb, a knife an RPG, a single shot shotgun, or
a poison gas canister... Which one would you most likely defend yourself from?  Which one poses
the greatest risk to a room full of people?

They are all lethal, but they are not equal.

so do you want to be without the gun and left with the knife yourself?????

or only if you pass all the controlled regulations?

just curious as to why the hierarchy of power makes it that humans lording over humans via rich war mongering demagogues
is OK with you two?

I'm not saying the shooting was OK...it was crime of murder...gun or no gun.....

Turns out the killer was trained by none other then the military, this will probably be swept under the rug while people blame the evil guns   So how about this question gets answered, is a person with military training more deadlier then those without it, should this be looked at since the body count is so high and if so what changes should be made about that. It seems our vets and those that are active are going off the deep end in record numbers, scary part is many are now serving as police officers and can't tell the difference between Iraq and a US city or insurgent from US citizen. We created the monsters and nobody wants to admit it, instead they want to place the blame on something else.

DC has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country and those gun laws didn't stop the nut case who wanted to kill from carrying out this horrific act. Only law abiding people obey laws, criminals and nut cases don't.

Before Henry jumps on the Military yet again, don't forget that most of the crazies are not let
into the military or if they do manage to get in, there is a good chance that they will be rejected
once in the military.
As to military training... Most of those who went to Vietnam never fired their weapons.  There were 8-10
in the rear with the gear, for every actual infantry man who engaged the enemy.
Do you consider those who were "well trained by the military" to pump gas, or clerks who worked in
an office to be "deadlier" than a civilian who did the same job?

Correct, then they should all be equal.  Ask the Syrian "rebels" what they think about gun control.  As we can see, if you give a government a monopoly on violence and the most lethal weapons, they can easily crush dissenters and make them defenseless in all of the situations you describe.  If disarmament is the goal, then EVERYBODY should disarm to equal weapons.  This includes government agents.  Nobody should have a monopoly on violence.

Reading Cicero's twisted logic, you can understand why he hates compulsory education.  If he didn't
learn anything... he doesn't want anyone to learn anything.

The Dallas News identifies the shooter as a Naval reserve petty officer.

Alexis enlisted in the Navy in 2007 and left the service in 2011. He was at the Fleet Logistics
Support Squadron in Fort Worth. That squadron is located at the Naval Air Station in Fort Worth.
He was a petty officer, 3rd class.
He worked on the various electrical engineering systems of aviation equipment.
He had no overseas or combat duty.
