and let's not forget that Golub is on the METROPLEX/GILLEN board!!
Heard a rumor that the Hannaford on Balltown will be closing soon after the 'walmart market' opens.

Must be a Gloubspiracy and Hannaford is not one of the ones that take advantage of these "FACTS"......

If the truth be known...........many major market chains BUY THEIR products FROM walmart........FACT!!!!
It is actually cheaper for these markets to buy (wholesale) from walmart, for resale, than it is to buy from a distributor......FACT!!!
Walmart 'sells' (shelf price) their products for the price that most market chains 'buy wholesale'....before the mark up.....FACT!!!

JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!!

Shop at Greulich's, Gabriel's and the CO-OP -- just the right size, wonderful customer service and they don't need the gimmicks that the "big box" chain supermarkets employ.

Who doesn't "need" the "gimmicks" at the chain markets?

Obviously because YOU live off your two rich mommies and spend their money (which we all know is taxpayer money), then YOU don't "need" the gimmicks.

But DV, most people have go to work for a living and have mortgages to pay, property taxes, school taxes, homeowners insurance, power bills, phone bills, very high health insurance premiums, medical costs with $1,000 plus deductibles, prescription co-pays of in excess of $50, food bills, car payments, clothes for their children, school expenses for their children, home maintenance costs, internet (because kids need it for school assignments), putting money into savings for children's college costs, and trying to save for their own retirements (most people do NOT have the LUXURY of having a lavish generous taxpayer funded pension that is so generous such that one pension precludes eligibility for STAR Enhanced exemption).

And then in case you didn't know, many people have to pay for the gold ceiling at Proctors, have to pay King Philips almost quarter of a million dollar taxpayer paid salary, all the UNNCESSARY fancy light poles (that you cheer for), all the new buildings downtown, plus the property and school taxes of the millionaire political cronies of your dems.

YOU call them "gimmicks," of course once again YOU are WRONG.    NORMAL adults, real men and women call them savings which are an ABSOLUTE NECESSITY these days.   Shop at the big three (plus Walmart for some things) wisely, buy on sale, use coupons (not as in extreme), and you WILL save on both food bills AND gas for the car.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Cousins Jeff and Ray Legere of Legere Properties and Legere Restorations ... recently purchased .....

Gillen says he can't wait to work with the Legere's.

Let the massive entitlements begin for the newest welfare queens in Schenectady!

Yet another millionaire who will own FOR PROFIT properties and the financially struggling homeowners in the city will have their tax bills increased to pay the taxes for more millionaires.

Get ready for another big drop in the city's tax base.

Just for the record, everything on the river side of Erie after Nott St belongs to:

You guessed it, Galesi.

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
