The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Only in the fact that he lost to a popular president.  In respect to what position he was in the party, nothing could be further from the truth. Dukakis was either center, or left of center in his party. His views lined up with the typical Democrat that was active, and therefore influential in the nominating process.

Romney never got the support of the social wing of the GOP, and was for the most part, left of center on the other issues.

I don't think either man could have won if they had a do over.

That's all you have?

FYI, nobody cares about the 2012 election anymore because....well....it was in 2012.

Reliving the past doesn't negate Obama's FUBARs of the present.

What's his current approval rating? 42%? Those are starting to look like Bush numbers.

OK, I wouldn't call this a Quote of the Day, much more like the 'political quote of the century'!

Quoted Text
"I've never said that in my life to her.
I would never do that. I'm happily married.
I've got more than enough to eat at home.
Thank you very much."

-- Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, in a statement,
on allegations he told a staffer he wanted to
"eat her pu$$y."

keep looking backwards two years, that will deflect attention!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Nobody cares about Canada.

If we cared, then we would hear more news from there, other than this extreme dipwad.
