I can't help it if you can't handle debate, and that you're a thin skinned crybaby. |

It doesn't matter what I believe or you believe. It's the FACT you can't accept somebody else's belief if they do not fit yours. It is the definition of bigotry. But as I have pointed out many times, this type of bigotry is perfectly acceptable to the tolerant progressive.
As I have "pointed out many times" I don't care what this guy believes... if he's a devil worshiper an atheist, a Hare Krishna, Muslim, Buddhist, Christian or a Jew... it matters not to me. Every America has the "Freedom Of Religion" to worship as they please. Every American also has the "Freedom From Religion" that guarantees that the public school system doesn't teach any ones religion... even if it's the majority religion in the community. Teaching actual "science" from a religious book, no matter who's religious book, is NOT SCIENCE... it's RELIGION! |

On a side note: I would even be in favor of a class on comparative religion taught in public schools since religion is a part of our society and plays a role both geographically and culturally in our world.
When in School, we had a class on comparative religion that taught a brief segment of all the worlds major religions. Since it was a Catholic school, the Catholic religion was omitted from the class. An interesting and informative class for kids who had mostly only been exposed to Christian religions. |

Does every American have a right to choose their curriculum? Can every American choose not to attend science in school? I know in NYS science is mandatory. Science is the religion of man, granted science claims no invisible god in the sky, but the dogmatic belief in scientific theory by you is no different than religious fanaticism. Your belief is the EVERYBODY must accept science as the way to truth, and your belief in a government curriculum that FORCES it onto children is the same as religious fanaticism. Again, to reiterate, this isn't a endorsement for creationism. This is about compulsory schooling and mandated science curriculum, and the rest of the curriculum for that matter. It is the choosing of one theory over another, and making it compusory. This is where most liberals mantra of "choice" falls flat. Same with the first amendment, government schools are first amendment free zones. Government schools - where all ideas and thinking must be pre-approved. |

Cissy has his own definition for lots of things. Some are really bizarre!!! For the rest of us some of these may fit: SCIENCE:~ the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment. ~ The observation, identification, description, experimental investigation, and theoretical explanation of phenomena. ~ the systematic study of the nature and behaviour of the material and physical universe, based on observation, experiment, and measurement, and the formulation of laws to describe these facts in general terms ~ a branch of knowledge or study dealing with a body of facts or truths systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws. None involve religion or faith based books. |

well, yes and no to the religion or faith based books....inherently in every human is the faith that truth will be sought after and found..... religion is a systematic organization much like psychiatry/ology......both sciences, in theory of course. |

Of course it's faith based. We can take "global warming deniers" as you call them. They are scientists that do not believe global warming is caused by humans. These scientist use the scientific method to reach their conclusion. Yet, you basically call them heretics and that anybody that follows them are basically following a false prophet. The scientists that YOU follow have the real truth. They are the truth, the way, the light. And if you can get the politicians to accept on one group of scientists theory over another and push their theories on to children through compulsory schooling and a government curriculum, you basically have created a belief system controlled by small groups of men - like an organized religion. |
