It looks like a rookie police officer may have saved the life of an unidentified man. Mayor Bloomberg supports the controversial Stop and Frisk program, arguing that saving lives is more important than the civil rights violations. The article says that the shooter actually shot someone in the spring (the season, not a body part), but charges were dropped by the DA? Does this make sense to anyone? It seems to be the new style of dealing with criminality. Harass the hell out of the law abiding (gun owners, kids walking the street in NYC, women with prescription medications), but when you've got a proven criminal, leave him to walk around freely menacing society. Actually, we are lucky he wasn't charged for the prior shooting, because he would've ended up in a group home in Schenectady.
Is that NYSAFE Act working?

Everybody is a potential criminal in the eyes of government.  They can profile, stop, frisk, question, detain and kill ANYBODY they think is a threat.  If you are a neighborhood watch volunteer that practice even a fraction these techniques(profile), you will be made an example of, and you will receive death threats for years.

The state has a monopoly on violence.  Anytime there is a monopoly, it will be abused.

TRUTH!!!!!

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
