Police officer safety is a police officers concern, not a person that peacefully purchases a gun without state authorization.  Useless statistic.

What cissy means is that he is unconcerned with police officers being shot or killed while protecting him.
I got mine, screw everyone else.

It's been well established, cops are not legally required to risk their lives to protect anyone.

Which makes their sacrifice even more heroic.

Unless you are the unarmed person in a life threatening situations and the cop runs the other way.  Then you are sacrificed and the cop gets off his shift and goes to the bar.

that's interesting.....a nurse doesn't have to do CPR on you if a nurse even THINKS you have HIV....so that makes a nurse
heroic if a nurse does do CPR and your dirty a$$ has hepatitis/HIV or a number of other blood born diseases.....

explain to me your definition of hero?

I thought medical first responders were required to treat, regardless of their concerns about their personal risk of infectious disease?  I know for a fact, if a person is a first responder for a private company, he/she is required to treat to the level of their training.  If they do not treat, they can be terminated.  It's not optional.

my point being....not all nurses are 'first responders'.....they get scratched/bit/spit/sh!t/pissed on.....every day....are they
'heroes'....nah.....the public wouldn't palate that and it wouldn't make a grand commercial....

my point being that death is NOT the only way to make a 'hero', I mean if that's what society needs to move along as a fairy tale
then I guess police are heroes.....

society is like a damaged human, it certainly doesn't find worth in itself without some Disney fairy tale story about the world...

last I knew it was choice to pick your job?

Good thing only people like you that post radical hate messages get to carry a gun.

Michigan Republican official fatally shoots self in eye while adjusting
gun in her bra holster

Law enforcement officials in Michigan said that they learned this week that an elected Republican official who had
recently shot herself to death had been adjusting her bra holster when the accident occurred.
“She was having trouble adjusting her bra holster, couldn’t get it to fit the way she wanted it to.
She was looking down at it and accidentally discharged the weapon,” St. Joseph Public Safety Director
Mark Clapp said.

I think guys like to keep their guns there because it's a hand motion that is socially normal.

"itching"
"adjusting"
"changing sides"
"holding the binky"
etc etc....

it would come as a surprise when the gun came out...right?
