Just one more case (justified or not) where a gun lead to violence.
Without the gun, nothing would have happened.

You always hear how it is the gun owners who are paranoid, as with these last few stories you see how really untrue that argument is, in fact the paranoia seems stronger with the anti-gun crowd

The gun didn't lead to violence, the leftist, racist wackjob was the violence.

Your ridiculous attempt at a retort shows your bias against civilian gun ownership. You wouldn't use this 'logic' if it was found that he was a plainclothes police detective or an FBI agent.

Plain clothed government agents should be outlawed.  It scares those with a gun phobia.

I own a pistol... and could legally carry it into our local Walmart... If I wanted to act like an @sshole!

This has nothing to do with the gun, Foster (the assaulter) failed in his attempt to be the "HERO" that day. Would he have done the same if he witnessed a person strapping on a knife before entering the store? How about someone returning a baseball bat, maybe would he have thought it was to bash in the heads or customers? This is simply a case of someone who felt it was ok to take the law into his own hands. If he truly had a concerns he should have followed the guy around the store while calling the police or alerted a store employee.

Quoted Text
“The Sheriff’s Office recommends that vigilante-inclined citizens refrain from taking matters into their own hands, especially when an incident is gun-related,” the Tampa Bay Times reported.
"You better make sure there's a good reason," he added. "Otherwise you might be confronting a guy that is legally permitted to carry a gun."

you can teach humans about how to handle guns but you can't really teach a human how to avoid a virus except that they should avoid
human contact which would also be the case with the gun issue so I guess we're back a square one.....

hhhhhmmmm

the 'eradication' of a virus can lead to it's mutation and increased virulence.
the 'eradication' of guns will lead to human death with something else, by accident or otherwise and the list is endless:
1. obesity
2. knives
3. car accidents
4. beatings
5. police shootings
6. hangings
7. cutting
8. bulimia
9. anorexia
10. childbirth
11. WAR
12. drowning
ETC ETC ETC.........

~If He Is Unable Or Unwilling To Enforce NY Law, He Should Resign.~

Fulton County Sheriff Thomas Lorey has been an outspoken opponent of New York’s SAFE Act gun law since it passed in
the middle of the night two years ago. So last Friday’s Gazette story detailing his latest effort to sabotage the law came
as little surprise. Lorey, who has said in the past that he believes the law is unconstitutional and thus won’t enforce it,
has now done something worse: encouraging gun owners to ignore appeals from the state to reregister their pistol permits
before they’re legally required to do so in 2018.
He’s shown by his repeated efforts to undermine this one piece of legislation that he can’t be trusted to separate his
personal biases from his professional obligation to uphold a law regardless of how he feels about it.

America'(really the US governments) solution is to give government agents more powerful virus'(guns) than the virus killing the children.  Then when they kill children with their virus, call it collateral damage.

Lorey is correct.

People like me have had their license since the 80's.

Forcing them to renew regularly is just a money grab and also an end around to take away guns.

It is absolutely an infringement of the right to bear arms.

This is exactly the kind of action that the King would have taken against the founding fathers.
