Box, the poll was of registered voters. 4 million New Yorkers that are over 18 years of age are not registered voters.

Your post claimed that New Yorkers supported the safe act. When the poll clearly said 63% of registered voters. I was just clarifying your misleading posts. You know, because 4 million unregistered voters opinions matter too. BTW...The poll you cite is 6 months old. |

Yes. It is 6 months old. And???? Do you have any data supporting a change in the poll? Some surveys poll registered voters, some random state residents, some just who ever answers the phone. If the poll was conducted to find VOTER SUPPORT then it has fulfilled it's purpose. |

I agree it fulfilled its purpose. To measure support from registered voters. You claimed that "New Yorkers" supported the safe act 2 to1. When in reality, it was a survey of registered votes and not all New Yorkers. Probably just an oversight on your part. |

Siena, like any reliable polling group, uses formulas to get as close as possible to the actual facts. There is always a 'margin of error' of often 3% or 5%, etc. Polls are a snapshot of the views of those polled at the time it was taken. Signs are being "funded" by the Right for several reasons, one of which is to repeal the SAFE ACT... They are 'funding' those signs to encourage support for their political candidates in the Nov elections. The Right can rally support against Gov Cuomo by posting Anti SAFE Act signs. Their aim isn't so much "anti SAFE ACT" as it is Anti Gov Cuomo. |

I tend to agree with this. It is like the well funded left wing anti-war movement in 07 and 08. It wasn't really an opposition to war, but opposition of Republicans in order to create support for their faux democrat anti war candidates. Obama just announced he is going to conduct airstrikes into yet ANOTHER sovereign country(Syria), and the Cindy Sheehan anti-war crowd is nowhere to be found(or at least the media isn't covering them). The left wing anti war crowd isn't so much anti war, but rather anti republican war and pro democrat candidate. Death and destruction at the hands of Democrats is not war at all. Especially Nobel Peace Prize war. |

Every single pro-safe act rally I seen was a complete failure where the groups had to bus in students, even then the numbers were still very small compared to the anti-safe act crowds. Heard the Saratoga gun show last week was selling pre-safe act rifles and nobody said anything or just turned a blind eye |

From what I've heard, everybody that has a pre safe act rifle(AR15), they have registered with the proper authorities to make sure they are in compliance. |

So GunHuggers were selling illegal guns. No surprise there. |

500 voters polled, responded in favor of the SAFE act. That is about 6 million fewer than gun owners. If half the gun owners get out and vote this year, Cuomo will be sent into retirement in November. Cuomo is toast. |
