An air horn, my God I hope your wife or kids never have someone try to break down their door when they're home alone. I can see it now "quick kids hide under the bed, I'll grab the phone and air horn, we are going to be ok" LMAO
LMAO!!! A loud crash in the middle of the night at Henry's house... Henry responds with helmet, 500 rounds of ammo, his trusty assault weapon and dispatches the intruder. When the police arrive... they find the family cat dead on the floor (9 rounds in the cat, 3 in the tv, 15 rounds in the fridge after going through the living room wall... and best of all, 421 rounds in the now destroyed mirror and wall, when Henry saw his reflection and "killed" his intruder. Of course Henry ignored the 3 dead neighbors, the 7 seriously wounded neighbors who were all shot while sleeping in their beds with Henry's "rampage of FEAR" as he executed the cat, the fridge, the tv etc.
Glad I don't live in Henry's neighborhood.

GunHugger shoots and kills Burglar... A HERO!!! Burglar turns out to be his Daughter... Another GunHugger @sshole who "kept his family safe"!
Quoted Text
A Colorado Springs father fatally shot his teenage step-daughter Monday, saying he thought she was a burglar. Prior to the incident, police received a call about a burglary in progress. But when they got there, they found the 14-year-old with a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital and died soon after, according to CBS Denver.

Henry must have missed his latest edition of "Just Shoot Em'"... He's into reruns!

I believe this was the 1st I heard of this story, what? aren't you happy the good guys won?
"In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a Patriot."
Not all break ins require a shooting as seen here, although luckily for the homeowner he had the option and the sight of the gun was enough.

FEAR! FEAR DRIVES GUNHUGGERS... SO MUCH FEAR IT OVERCOMES THEIR RATIONAL THOUGHT!
Simply put: for every time a gun in or around the home was used in self-defense, or in a legally justified shooting, there were: ~ four unintentional shootings, ~ seven criminal assaults or homicides, ~ and 11 attempted or completed suicides.
That's one self-defense shooting for 22 accidental, suicidal or criminal shootings -- hardly support for the notion that having a gun handy makes people safer.
A normal, healthy person would look at these FACTS and understand the danger to himself and his loved ones involved with a gun in the home for self defense. Why doesn't Henry understand these FACTS??? There is a reason... Henry, and many GunHuggers suffer from "Cognitive Dissonance"
Quoted Text
To put it simply, cognitive dissonance is the brain’s inability to handle two conflicting realities, so it creates an alternate one which often defies actual reality.
Henry's FEAR drives him to find some protection from his FEARS by owning a gun. FACTS show that a gun in the home increases the risk of death for both Henry and his family... especially the women in his family... The conflict between these FACTS leaves Henry unable to cope with the obvious... so he 'invents' another reality. A reality where the danger to his family his neighbors and himself is minimized, and the danger of a home invasion is maximized. This false reality (caused by his cognitive dissonance) gives Henry the false security he so desperately needs! Henry has no choice but to cling to his invented reality, no matter how ridiculous.
Hope this helps Henry.

LOL MADE IT OUT ALIVE!!! She made it out alive but shot... if she didn't have a gun, but instead had a boat air horn, she would have made it out alive and without a bullet home in her leg.
Wonder if she had any kids, or if the round that went out of the house hit anyone else. GunHuggers are unconcerned with "collateral damage"... they are so petrified with FEAR, they'd shoot a hundred of their neighbors by mistake and say: At least I made it out alive! (Glad she doesn't live next door to me!)
military doesn't care about collateral damage either...it's your 'at least' argument...if someone has a knife and attacks some folks at least they made it out alive

Where does the NRA find these idiots???

All this talk from box yet he claims to be a gun owner with a women in the house, so either he doesn't buy into his own BS or his green eyed goddess isn't worth giving up his guns, which is it box? In my case my whole family knows how to use my firearms and they feel safer knowing how to use them. Unlike you I had a guy try to kick in my door once, we called the police which took them 6-10 minutes to get to my house, lucky for him he gave up and left after failing to get in. If he made it in my house and we were not armed I would have had to deal with him for at least 5 minutes until police showed up, that's a long time box when your family is in possible danger from some drugged out scumbag. You may wish to hopefully subdue him and hold him for 5 minutes but for me I would of ended it in less then 1 second if he made his way in.

Every GuhHugger I've met would RATHER SHOOT THAN TO SUBDUE OR RETREAT. Every one. A few months back a woman GunHugger said if anyone were to attempt a break in, she'd shoot... and if he were running away... she'd shoot him in the legs so he wouldn't get away.
Of course she would be charged with (at least) assault or if he were to die, manslaughter or possibly murder.
GunHuggers... everyone that I've met... WANTS TO SHOOT SOMEONE. NOT JUST, "IF NECESSARY TO PROTECT THEIR LIFE" BUT THEY WANT TO SHOOT... THEY CAN'T WAIT FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHOOT. It has to be some defect in their collective character, but much like scumbag George Zimmerman, once they've done the deed, they likely would end up regretting it.
It is possible that someone, some day might try to break into my home. It is possible... so is it possible that an aircraft would crash into my home. It's possible and those things happen but I don't worry about it. For some reason... GunHuggers are OBSESSED WITH FEAR OF THE UNLIKELY, YET THEY DISMISS THE VERY LIKELY THREAT TO THEIR FAMILY'S SAFETY.

Just what are your legal rights in NYS to defend yourself/persons within your home from bodily harm? And with what form of weaponary is "allowed". Do off duty police within their home, facing a in home invasion, have more rights to use a gun than the average citizenery to take protective action? Would they use other means than their available firearms? A poll of police in regard to this example might prove interesting.
Every GuhHugger I've met would RATHER SHOOT THAN TO SUBDUE OR RETREAT. Every one.:
If I wanted to shoot him I would have shot through my door killing him but I didn't, I didn't ask for him to try to break into my house. And you say retreat, retreat where box? out the back door where he might hear you opening the door and give chase? Retreat to another room and hopes he wouldn't kick that door in? A lot of coulda shoulda woulda but when its happening and you don't know if the next kick will be the one that gets through talk is cheap.

I don't want to shoot anyone unlike you who has shot and killed before and wanted to do it. If I had to shoot someone to protect my family I would do so without hesitation, if I knew they were in possible harm, and no I wouldn't regret it, not for a second.

:
I hope it doesn't happen to you box, as for me and my family it did happen so you don't really have any say in what it is like. Do I worry about it the answer is no, however I realize it could happen again and I'm prepared to do what is necessary if that time comes. One thing I'm sure of if it does happen to you you will not be grabbing an air horn you will be grabbing one of your guns, if you really have any.

If your life or your families life is in danger don't worry about what some politician thought you should do, do whatever is necessary to protect yourself. Legal problems should be the last thing you should be thinking about in a dangerous situation. But in any case here is a good read
