2. Louisiana 2013 firearm death rate: 19.1 per 100,000 Total firearm deaths 2004-2013: 8,552 (13th highest) Violent crime rate: 518.5 (5th highest) Permit required to buy handgun: No Poverty rate: 19.8% (3rd highest)
I assume you are pointing to the common denominator of Permit required to buy handgun: No and permitting does work to weed out those who should not apply, but it does nothing for those who illegally acquire guns and commit crimes. Those types don't care if it is legal for them to own a gun, and would never apply for one anyways.
I bet you anything that if you took those numbers and crossed them with gun homicides committed with and illegally owned/possessed weapons they would almost match one for one. Because it’s not the law-biding gun owner who is committing these acts.
Take away the guns from good citizens and the only ones who will have them should not have had them in the first place.

OK. It's a bet. Show me your statistics that no homicides, armed robberies etc are committed by legal gun owners.

No. I am pointing to the entire post. Red Pro-Gun states are the victims of gun violence at a greater rate than states with good gun laws.

You are the accuser.
You want tougher laws against those who commit gun deaths and injuries, but you keep posting suicides and criminal deaths in your argument to disarm and dissolve/regulate/reduce the freedom to own guns.
If every life is important, and if you’re trying to save people from dying by gunfire, then you can’t ignore nearly two-thirds of the people who are dying.” Suicide is the 10th-leading cause of death in the U.S.; in 2010, 38,364 people killed themselves. In more than half of these cases, they used firearms. Indeed, more people in this country kill themselves with guns than with all other intentional means combined, including hanging, poisoning or overdose, jumping, or cutting. Though guns are not the most common method by which people attempt suicide, they are the most lethal. About 85% OF SUICIDE ATTEMPTS WITH A FIREARM END IN DEATH. (DRUG OVERDOSE, the most widely used method in suicide attempts IS FATAL IN LESS THAN 3% OF CASES), Moreover, guns are an irreversible solution to what is often a passing crisis. Suicidal individuals who take pills or inhale car exhaust or use razors have time to reconsider their actions or summon help. With a firearm, once the trigger is pulled, there’s no turning back.
More Guns, More Death.

Absolutely without a doubt most suicides are committed by current and former military.
Your display of suicide deaths ranked by states with highest number of guns, vs lowest number of guns in no way proves that more guns equals more suicides.
A completely false premise.
Guns don't cause suicides.
Suicides existed before guns were invented.
Why don't you simply pass a law forbidding suicides?
New Law Determines Bullets No Longer Responsibility Of Owner Once Fired From Gun
NEWS IN BRIEF June 10, 2015 VOL 51 ISSUE 23 News · Government · Guns · Law PHOENIX—In an attempt to clarify the rights and obligations of those possessing firearms, the Arizona State Legislature approved a new law Wednesday declaring that a gun owner ceases to be responsible for a bullet once it has been fired from a weapon. “It simply makes no sense to hold people accountable for a round of ammunition that is no longer inside their gun, and this legislation clears this up once and for all,” said bill co-sponsor Sen. Steve Smith (R-Maricopa), observing that no one can reasonably expect an individual to exert control over a bullet or a bullet’s ultimate whereabouts once it has exited a gun’s barrel. “How can you be liable for a projectile that may be lodged as far as 5,000 feet away from where you’re standing? That’s ridiculous. Now, if we’re talking about ammunition that’s in the chamber of a gun you’re holding, or in your holster, or in a bandolier worn around the shoulder, then yes, it is still the carrier’s responsibility. But it’s unfair to penalize citizens for bullets that are not in their possession anymore.” Smith went on to state that as soon as a round enters someone’s thoracic cavity, that person immediately takes possession of the bullet and must assume full responsibility for it.

The gun is a very effective tool for many things, and like you posted a pull the trigger and the deed is done. Drugs are more common method but it seems failure is just as common. We could debate this over and over again but someone who is hell bent of ending their life (for whatever reason) has a myriad of ways to accomplish the task. The gun is just one tool to ending the pain they are in.

Police said the gun was legally owned. The passenger who owned the gun, bought it recently. No one has been charged, but police said they are still investigating. It's not clear whether the lady Second Amendmented herself, or whether her ‘friend' gifted her with the bullet. ~The gun was unharmed during the shooting.~
