Yes, in 2007, when the tea party began due to Bush policies and Hillary was the presumptive democrat nominee, it was because of racial issues.

"Manufactured GOP “scandals” are only one part of a much larger pattern of the Right falsifying both current
events and national history. This false narrative then reverberates through the giant right-wing echo chamber,
deceiving millions of Americans who rely on the likes of Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh for their news.

Among other falsehoods, these ill-informed Americans have been convinced that the key Framers of the Constitution
– the likes of George Washington, James Madison and Alexander Hamilton – wanted a system of strong states’
rights and a weak federal government, when the truth is nearly the opposite. This fake history has, in turn,
fueled an intense hatred of today’s federal “guv-mint” as Tea Partiers fancy themselves the brave protectors
of the Constitution."

Yes, the founders wanted the federal government to force every citizen to purchase a financial instrument like insurance, or suffer a fine by the federal government.  The founders amended the Articles of Confederation in order to give the federal government power to determine how every American pays for their medical procedures.  That's exactly it.

Q. Why Do Republicans Focus On Make-Believe Scandals?

A.  They Have No Winning Policy

Quoted Text
"If you’ve noticed Republicans spend all their time on trumped-up, hyperbolic scandals, you’re not alone.
As Democrats  tout their policies and economic success, the Republicans are, quite literally, left to just
make sh*t up and come out against everything Democrats do.
Republicans know they can’t get votes telling the truth — and because they know they’re not the party of
freedom or the Bible  — and because they know they don’t have effective policy on any front, be it foreign,
domestic or social…. they lie and create scandals. Why? Because it takes the focus off their truths."

“The U.S. Senate Historian’s Office has so far been unable to find
another example in the chamber’s history where one political party openly
tried to deal with a foreign power against a presidential policy, as
Republicans have attempted in their open letter to Iran this week.”

(McClatchy)

The land of lawlessness.  Obama rewrote his signature legislation and nullified immigration law.  This is now America.

and 45 Republicans are trying to take away the Democratic process
and rule how this country does business abroad. In actuality, 45
Republicans just made America look STUPID that something like this could happen.
My friends in Europe tell me they don't understand how this is allowed.

That pales in comparison with how stupid America looked invading Iraq for WMD's that didn't exist.  Or indifinitely detaining people without trial.  Or torturing prisoners.  Or extrajudicially executing their own citizens.

There's a lot of things that make America look stupid.  Sending a non binding letter to a foreign leader seems minor in comparison.

Ohhhh...the concern for the democratic process!  The USG invaded a nation and toppled the government without a declaration of war.  Man...A non binding letter from senators really gets your panties in a wad.  Quite the perspective on the proper function of the democratic process.  Yeah...Those senators really crossed the line sending a letter.  Lol

Yes...very serious.  The non binding letter resulted in the death of hundreds of thousands of people and cost trillions of dollars.  Treason!

Sorry...I guess I get stuck on the federal government killing innocent people by the tens and hundreds of thousands.  My bad.  I'll focus on the really important stuff like Hillary's email account, and a non binding letter sent to Iran by a bunch of Senators.  You know, the things really taint the fine reputation of the United States in the eyes of those around the world.  The burning issues of the day.  I'll stop getting all caught up in that mass killing and invasion of nations stuff.  I must focus on Hillary's email server!
