Some states aren’t expanding their Medicaid programs effective January 1, 2014. If you live in one of these states, you may not have as many options for health coverage. It will depend on where your income falls.
If your income is more than 100% of the federal poverty level -- about $11,500 a year as a single person or about $23,500 for a family of 4 -- you will be able to buy a private health insurance plan in the Marketplace and may get lower costs based on your household size and income. If you make less than about $11,500 a year as a single person or about $23,500 for a family of 4, you may not qualify for lower costs for private insurance based on your income. However, you may be eligible for Medicaid, even without the expansion, based on your state’s existing rules.

What problems are they talking about exactly? The #1 issue with many Americans is affordable health care... Obamacare which you oppose. You favor tax cuts for the rich while cutting programs to the poorest citizens.
TeaBaggers live for a SMALLER GOVT... and most Americans are against waste in govt, but TeaBagger or Libertarian SMALLER GOVT is usually about cutting programs for the poor and middle class while funding tax cuts that benefit the wealthy.
Cicero and Henry and others on this board have called for SMALLER GOVT... this poll shows that most citizens want just the opposite... they want GOVT To solve Problems. Higher minimum wage, Health care for ALL Americans, education funding where needed, Reasonable gun control, safeguarding the environment etc.

Sometimes the government getting out of the way is solving the problem, you have to remember the government getting involved in the first place is what caused most of our problems. Nowhere in the poll does it say the people want more government, like I said how they solve problems is the discussion here. Maybe they want the government to get more involved in abortion, oh but you don't want the government involved there. Maybe the people want the government involved in stopping Obamacare, the majority are against it but again that isn't a problem you want our reps to fix. Your poll doesn't give out any facts or opinions, in fact it crushes your point that Americans want Obamacare.

I have no problem paying my taxes. I live in one of the best countries in the world with a strong military good hospitals and infrastructure. I am proud to pay my taxes, but wish that all citizens paid their fair share of tax. The progressive tax system should have the richest citizens paying the highest tax rate, but that isn't the case. Instead of shutting down the govt over a lost cause... the GOP should be working to make the tax system fair and easy to follow.

I do hate all taxes but the big difference is I don't want the majority of services I pay for, you on the other hand want the best of both worlds, you want all this crap and you don't want to pay for it. If you cared so much and wanted more revenue in the form of taxation you would have opted out of your veteran tax exempt, you are a hypocrite plain and simple. As I said in the other topic you have no right to talk about how taxes are spent when you pay jack sh*t in taxes in the 1st place.
