The sheer number of feuds within the Republican Party are hard to count — to the extent
that The Washington Examiner's Byron York says it's impossible for the party to have a
true civil war, since there aren't two clear sides. Indeed, it's more like sectarian violence,
where it's hard to keep track of the shifting alliances.Back in March, The Atlantic Wire
visually mapped the dizzying number of Republican feuds, but in the four months since,
and whole slew of feuds later, we needed to a new map.

A new Mellman Group poll in Kentucky finds Alison Lundergan Grimes  edging Sen. Mitch McConnell
in a U.S. Senate race, 44% to 42%.

It's the second poll this week giving Grimes a slight edge over the Senate GOP leader.

Will Rand Paul's Kentucky Turn BLUE?
It is a possibility!

Quoted Text
Today’s Mellman Group poll finds Alison Grimes leading Mitch McConnell, 44%-42%.
Most shockingly, among voters who know both candidates, Grimes leads McConnell
by 15 points.

Not only does Grimes hold a slim 44%-42% lead over McConnell, but she leads by 7 points
with Independents, and Grimes has a 33 point lead with moderates, 56%-23%.
McConnell is running close to Grimes because of his advantage in name recognition,
but when that advantage is taken away by asking voters who know both candidates
the races moves heavily into the Democrat’s favor.

House Republicans passed their 40th bill to repeal or dismantle Obamacare on Friday
before heading home for a month-long recess.

Pretty much, the only accomplishment of this GOP house has been to repeatedly vote to end
Obamacare... knowing the vote is a total waste of time since it will fail in the Senate.

Obstructionism.  The GOP's one big accomplishment of the year!

This Story Is Truly Amazing!!!

Who Do Louisiana Republicans Blame for the
Poor Response to Hurricane Katrina???

Quoted Text
A significant chunk of Louisiana Republicans evidently believe that President Barack
Obama is to blame for the poor response to the hurricane that ravaged their state more than
three years before he took office.
(Now that's bizarre)

I guess they blame Obama for everything... even his response to a storm when he was
a newly elected Senator in Illinois.
(Dumb Rednecks??? Yea I guess so!)

Quoted Text
~ 28% said they think former President George W. Bush, who was in office at the time,
was more responsible for the poor federal response
~ 29% said Obama, who was still a freshman U.S. Senator in 2005, was more responsible
~  44% said they aren't sure.

House Republicans Divided on Nearly Everything

Byron York quotes a leading House Republican on GOP lawmakers on Capitol Hill:
"I believe the White House wakes up every morning thinking how they can
punch us in the nose. And we wake up every morning thinking how we can
punch each other in the nose."
