This woman was denied a medical procedure that would have saved her life.
Why?
Religious Fanatics like you who FORCE your religious views on others.
Had she had the abortion she would be alive today... Instead YOUR RELIGIOUS views forced her to
give birth to a baby with out a brain and had NO CHANCE OF SURVIVAL.
I hope you and your like minded fanatics are satisfied with her death, cause your fanaticism caused it.

You have no idea how non religious I am.  I don't practice organized religion.  It baffles you how a person can support the protection of innocent lives without a preacher telling me god says so.  Your arguments are far too simple and generalized.  That's how I know you are out of touch with the shifting social landscape going on around you.

Let's understand why Texas is passing this law.  Because it will bring the evangelicals and libertarian/tea party together with the pro life issue that evangelicals support and the states rights issue that libertarians & tea party activist support.  They are baiting the democrats and the federal government to pick this fight and make it a national debate.

FUNNY.  Almost no one associates Texas with Life!

Moderate Retardation      IQ 35-40 to 50-55
Mild Mental Retardation      IQ 50-55 to approximately 70

Aug 2012
Quoted Text
Huntsville - Ignoring its own ruling that prohibits the execution of mentally retarded individuals,
the United States Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected the appeal of a Texas man with an IQ
of 61 convicted of murdering a police drug informant.
Following the high court's denial, 54-year-old Marvin Wilson was executed by lethal injection at
the state prison in Huntsville, Texas.

Texas celebrates Life, like the way Cicero celebrates Taxes!

Box is upset that the man was ever born.  Look at the cost to society he was.

So, all the small gov't board members now, change sides and go for increased regulation? What happened to freedom of choice? Guess we need big brother to tell us what we can and can't do after all.

I guess this is the hypocrisy that keeps so called libertarians down, far too many of them are inconsistent. They want small gov't at all times!!! unless of course it's an issue they feel strongly about then big gov't is ok. It's either one or the other folks....

It should be left up to each state to decide.
It should have never been 'the law of the land'!

Well first, it's not "big government" that would mean federal government.  Second, knowing that government is imperfect and in most cases out right dangerous, it is best to limit its damage to the state and local levels.  Third, there is the belief of non aggression, which many libertarians take the position that abortion is unprovoked aggression against the innocent fetus, and if there is a roll for government, it is to protect the rights of the weak and defenseless.  In 2013, it can be scientifically argued that a 20 week viable fetus can live outside the womb and now requires protection of its right to life.

I don't think there are many libertarian that will argue for the right of premeditated murder.

No you are wrong it is about protecting life, it is about being responsible for ones own actions and not killing what that person created. There is no reason at all in todays world that a person who doesn't want to get pregnant should get pregnant, there is so many options out there today to prevent it. I get sick of hearing how they didn't know better from the pro-choice crowd, that is basically saying women are to stupid to know how their bodies work, talk about war on women.

For most of history, Republicans were happy to fund Planned Parenthood.  They recognized the value
they were for the poor in preventing unwanted pregnancies and VD.
GHW Bush was known as "Rubbers Bush" when he was a congressman because he would always
preach funding PP or similar groups to PREVENT UNWANTED PREGNANCY.

Todays Conservatives are more interested in legislating their religious beliefs than actually helping
anyone.

Now all we need to do is defeat ALL of the Pro-Death State Legislators in New York and replace them with Pro-Life State Legislators .. and defeat ALL of the Pro-Death Federal Legislators, too.  Then one day, New York can lead the nation in PROTECTING HUMAN LIFE and not lead the nation in the mass slaughter of the innocents as it does now.

We have a long way before that happens, but do expect other red states to follow suit.

After the abortion trial of Dr. Gosnell in Penn. a lot of women changed their view on late term abortions.
